leaky rim or bad tire

hey guys. ive recently got my hands on some garson wheels. i mounted some general exclaim uhp wheels. left the shop and about 5 blocks later they went flat. went back had it refilled and sat around for an hour and no leaking. left and they were fine the next day even after i went on a 75 mile outing. at the end of that trip  flat again. i refilled it and it lost about 5 psi in a 20 minute period so i just took that one off and put the donut on till i can figure this out. im losing my mind here. its a garson 19x8 with general 235/35/19. could it be bad beading due to the tire? any help is appreciated.

Wow that's pretty weird! Did your tire's side walls get messed up? I remember when I got a flat, my falken side walls got all bubbled up and they were no good anymore! It happened to me twice so I'm not really down with them anymore! Well anyways, maybe you should put a new tire on and put the whole rim under water and see where the leak is coming from by seeing little bubbles come up! That's what I would do, but good luck and hope you can figure it out!

thanx man. before the tires were mounted i looked at the inside. everything was smooth as silk in there.

no bubbling that i can notice from the outside. i really have no idea how long i rode on it flat either. i think i caught it pretty early

Same thing is happening to me my friend. I'm on Falken ST115's though. 
Air is probably leaking from the side walls. St341tH had a good point about 
the chrome. 235/35 on an 8 is definitely a full width tire with no stretch & 
shouldn't cause any problems.

Dump it in water and see where the air bubbles are comin from.
Mark that point.
Check the tire and rim at your point and look for anythin unusual.

If ya still don't see anythin, rotate the tire like 180 degrees or somethin and see if its changed.
If so, maybe its the tire. 
If not, maybe its the rim.

thanx for all the help guys. finally figured it out. i hope this helps anyne out with the same problem.
i filled up the tire again and left it for an hour and no leak. dipped it in a tub of water n soap. no leak. finally put them back on the car at 40 psi and drove over some cobble stone at maybe 25-20mph and ran home and dumped it in the tub again. BAM!!!! it was the bead on the tire. i assume it would only go bad after hitting a bump on that specific spot.  i found a tire place by me and they cleaned up the area and put some sort of sealant that looks like a tar. so far no problems. this was around 11 am and so far no leak and ive driven a fair amount and also took it back to the cobble stone street. hopefully this is the end of it. in any case i hope this helps anyone who might be going through the same. i think maybe the weight and a nice hit on the spot helped the leak become exposed

nevermind. leaking again. so seeing what happened. should i assum its the tire?

Sorry to hear that it's come back. My tires and wheels do the same thing all the time. 
I installed a brand new tire on one of the front wheels that use to leak and had no issues. 
Then a few weeks later the opposite front side tire started to leak. So I took my wheels 
off and I'm wondering if I should get a new tire for that side. Either way I'm only running 
my wheels on the weekends for a couple of more times this season. After that I'm getting 
all of my wheels refinished and have them triple check the inner wheel beads and barrels 
for possible corrosion. I think that might be your issue. It is possible that your tire 
load weight can't handle the stress. What type of car do you own?

well went back and had the tire taken off and inspected the inside. everything looked ok. we put sealant all along the wheel and tire. so far its been abbout 15 hours and no leak. i hope this is it
