top hat question
ok so im about ready to start my build, and the only thing holding me back is the rear coilover setup.
i have sourced a pair of used cusco s14 top hats, i am going to be running s13 jic coilovers in the rear.
would these top hats mate with the jic strut?

I thought there was a special nut needed or one from JIC as they are proprietary. Search around a lil bit you should find it. May only relate to the fronts though.

Yes, when I did it, the s14 coils made the ass sit too high for what I was going for.

I think You can use the stock Y33 top hat with S13 rear coilovers.

special nut is required on cusco fronts.
rear nuts are a normal nut on almost every y33.s13.s14.s15 application

true
very tru
no need for an aftermarket tophat
and i suggest s13 coils rather than s14 like some of these guys are
i can GUARANTEE s13s will let you lay frame...any s13s. but i can only say that SOME s14 setups will.

well, in a way you arent wrong.
the real estate is there for it to work, but you gotta drill some holes. you can TECHNICALLY make it work, but it isnt something that is worth drilling into a shock tower to save 200 bucks IMO.
