just got my 97 ls400

I finally was able to find a decent ls400, i got for a pretty sweet deal to (97k for 6,500.)  Ive already got some ideas swirlin around my brain as to what id like to do with it.  I cant post any pictures cause im on a govi computer and i cant do that :signdammit: but ill post some up later.  Hope to come back with you guys with some questions later and hopefully make this a good build.

What year did you get on the LS? I personally am not a huge fan of the older ones, but the newer ones catch my eye from time to time. They're great for VIP i've looked up a few and they look sick.

its an 1997 LS400, everything works pretty great on it, just a few minor things that needs fixing but its nothing to major.  But the first thing i was thinking of was removing the ash try (im trying to quit smoking so that would just temptation to smoke) and custom fab a JVC KD AVX77 unit in its place. I figure its a good spot for a single din, its touch screen which is nice, and dosent take away from the natural beauty of the console.  So i figure thats my first stop, then probably move on to audio itself.  Basically work from the inside out.

yea im ganna try to get some tomorrow, ive been working for 3 days straight and im on a government computer so i cant upload photos or anything with this computer.  Im surprised i can even get on this website, if its not military/news/google.  Its usualy blocked ha.

nice grab. '95-'97 are my favorites. black on black is a desirbale color combo and you got good miles.
 
for the radio i would recommend you take a look at beat sonic's double din dash kit. it is a better fit/finish than the normal stuff on the market and you can even get it in factory match wood. since you don't have the premium sound all you need is the faceplate.

Ok ill look into it thanks for the heads up!  Its awful trying to keep that thing clean in the desert, i washed/waxed it 3 days ago and it collects dust on it like its a hobby ha.  Plus black/black in the desert is like an easy bake oven inside.  But ill take a look into that double din man, im pretty new to this whole VIP concept so any helpful feed back would be super helpful thanks!

hey my brother is in the marines and was stationed in 29 palms.  Frieden ring any bells? haha

ha dosent really ring a bell man sorry!  Unless i work with em i dont really hang out with many marines.  I bet he loved it in hells armpit though, its awful here ha.
