Yep, Ordens are 1000x's way nicer than Work SL's... overall finish and construction Super Star Wheels FTW!

I got these JP Scaras on a really good deal. They came off of a 350z. 19x9 +17 and 19x10 +17. I was waiting for my air suspension to come in before I put them on but decided to run them for the DFW meet (which I couldn't make last minute). I lowered the rear another 1.5" but decided the front would be too low for the kit if I lowered the coilovers. The front needs to go at least 1.5" lower. I'll wait to lower the front when the airrunners are installed....off to pics

actually now that i see the sites cars once u bag it the bumper will flow with the car just nice...yea i think its too many vents..but when its dumped to the floor it looks hella clean....yes i said hella..im from norcal.:shrug:

I think it looks much better now then when it had the SL's.  Its going to look great once you slam it  How much lower is this kit compared to the stock bumpers?  Im still looking for something for my car that would be stock sized or even smaller if possible.

I've never had the stock bumper so I'm not sure how much lower it hangs.  I know it is in fact lower than the stock one though.  If I lower the front to sit right above the wheel, the front bumper will be 1" off the ground.  I have to be patient and wait for air...everytime I look at it, I want to lower the coilovers....must resist...

LOL.  Well if you would be about 1 inch off the ground then that shouldnt be much lower then the stock bumper.  From the looks of it, I would say 1' taller front bumper then stock.  BTW the chrome door pillers look even better now with the new wheels.

Well, I had the airrunner kit sitting in the garage for [SIZE=3][B]a year[/B][/SIZE]. I haven't driven the lexus for over 7 months...or more...finally got motivated and a couple buddies and I did the airrunners in 6 hours or little less...some quick pics...(i'll take more tomorrow after the car is washed. Still dirty with months of dust sitting on it)

got one of the front brakes on, had to take it off because my rivots/bolts made slight contact with the 8 piston brakes.  Its crazy.  My Scaras are made for bbk's too...

lips are high polished, I don't plan on clearing them.  I'd rather be able to polish if needed.  In Texas heat, the clear gets beaten down fast and starts peeling.

x2.  Just leaving them in the garage for 2 days without driving anywhere would require polishing.  Not a simple wipe either.  Have your powerball ready.  When clean, they look better than chrome though

Yup. I use the Powercone and Mothers Billet polish. 10 minutes a wheel and they're good as new.

Can you apply a clear coat to polish?

yes you can...only problem with that is when the uv breakss down the clear...it starts peeling and looks all nasty.  I'd rather polish with the powerball...just ordered tires btw.  I was going to do 225/35/20 front 235/35/20 rear in the NEO Gen...but they don't make it.  Then I looked up the size and 235/35/20 is too tall...went with a 225/30 and 245/30 ( I know...rubberbands)

Ever consider painting the visors to match? They stand out too much and will even  more once you get the fenders painted. All white with green tint to bring out the green calipers will look awesome.

I have 6 piston brakes for the rear.  I'm having a small issue with one of them right now so I pulled it off to get a replacement sent to me.  Futuras are awesome brakes.

loving the anodized green BBK behind the powdercoated wheels, although its really the only color on the car it just draws your eyes to the wheels themselves. the entire car is amazing though, definitely setting the bar.

Some questons:
- Didn't see any mention above, but are the specs 8-pot/380mm @ front and 6-pot/356mm @ rear?
- How further do they come when comparing with the stock calipers? What kinda disk type are you running and how much clearance you have?
- Are you still running the stock master cylinder?
- Are those Futuras "just" re-badged and custom powder coated blank PhatBoy Brakes?

Rear only radiusing? What about the front, have you relocated the wheel-well wire harness, shortened the steering knuckles etc.?

LOL...dont need to do all that for a 1" radius of the rear wheel well...and yes, its better to radius the rear when running 20's to ride low without tucking.

Why not just electro-chemically make your rust, then grind it to a nice flake, mix with clear and shoot it on top of the white :innoutrofl2:

I still have to adjust the camber in the rear after the radius.  The front fenders aren't bolted and adjusted yet but the fitment will be spot on for my taste.  No poke, no excessive camber.

I think I saw this car at JPI a few years back while it was being worked on. If this is the ride.. I've been admiring it ever since. If not.. shit is still hot! =)

I had these mirrors worked on.  They are made for RHD cars and dont fit well with the LHD bases.  I see most people with these content with the fitment.  It drove me nuts so we fixed it.

Kit is just right, but this kinda detail bugs me out a bit... and if the IC stays at that position it will lose some of it's cooling power and hence worth POWER *in a Jeremy Clarkson voice*  =)

i didn't even notice that until you mentioned it but that does look off.

yea, if you look closely there's spacers that are in there.  If you look at the intercooler, you'll see 2 spacers on the bottom of it.The spacers are in there because one of the pipes hangs too low below the kit and I'd kill it before I'd kill the kit.  i thought about removing the spacers yesterday but wanted to wait to get the car home first and see if it was a good idea.  Its not a big deal to me, only cause its easier to fix the kit than the intercooler piping.  The way the supercharger kit was designed 12 years ago, low wasn't the trend for these cars.  Both intercooler pipes come off one side.  You can see how low the pipe is here (car is raised up) and you can also see the factory panel that will funnel the air up into the intercooler.  That part is bolted to the kit so its still functional.  Not much loss of air flow.  On this part of the car function>looks.  By the way in the pic, the bumper is held on with 2 vise grips and not bolted up so the intercooler looks a lot higher as well.

yea...I went out to the shop this morning.  I am going to do some cutting, bending, possibly welding and we can remove the spacers.  I also talked to a carbon fiber guy that has vacuum access.  He met me at the shop today....all I can say is VERY NICE things are in the works for Wek'Fest

Here's the passenger side, required soldering 23 wires, moving the grounds around.  I will be removing the Apexi grounding box or relocating it...not sure yet.

Drivers side required soldering 7 wires (3 abs, 4 grounds) but we needed to cut the inner fenders, remove 2 plates, and now I need to reweld the inner fenders, weld up the extra holes, filler, primer, sand, paint the bay.  Going to build small brackets for the fuse/relay /diagnostic boxes.  Then make a fiberglass mold cover and get it to the carbon fiber guy.  stay tuned....

Slapped 10mm spacers because the radius changed things...Lowered the intercooler, had to cut more off the front crash bar moved the intercooler piping around and it sits a lot lower.  Other than that?  Car is colorsanded ready to buff, welded some holes in the engine compartment.  Going to scuff it up and move stuff around to paint.

Finished up my fog lights today.  Finished up assembly of the car minus the interior.  Working on custom carbon parts now then the car goes to the shop to install the interior.  Cutting it close.

This Saturday we are tearing apart the front suspension and doing polyurethane bushings to tighten things up.  New UCA bushings, New LCA bushings, new outter tie rods, new lower ball joints.  Got all the parts in from Lexus today.

the center arm rest is phenomenal.  the seats will be perfect when corrected...still cant stand behind those door cards tho...they coulda done a better job making the transition from diamond to pleats more seamless and subtle.

needs one longer diamond in the door cards to make the transition smoother in my opinion...but overall like I said, I'm happy with what they were able to do in the short amount of time.

got my carbon fiber parts in today. I have to redo the radiator support after the show cause he cracked the part that goes between the radiator to block air flow....no time to fix it now, so we just cut it off!

umm yeah, this is epically cool!

couple updates today.  After lots of detail planning with the stereo installer, he got started on the framework.  This will be an old school stereo build.  I grew up reading Car Audio Magazine and watching awesome builds by Richard Clark and installers like him.  I can appreciate the painted fiberglass setups but its not practical for me when I daily the Lexus.  My setup will be fiberglass, but it will look more stealth....until the panels are removed.  On to the pics.  This is pre fiberglass:

You will notice some hinges on the amp rack.  This is such a cool part of the build.  The air ride is hidden (won't be showing that), but the hinges shoot straight out then fold down so I can access the tank and valves when needed.  The bottom two holes will display neatly ran RCAs and wires.  There is plenty of room in the trunk still and even hidden compartment in the spare tire well.  Groceries and stroller?  Not a problem.  There's going to be a lot of plexi, green tint, a lot of led work and even hydro-dipped parts to tie the rest of the car with the trunk.  No vinyl, just grey factory matching carpet.

excellent artistic vision, and excellent wood work.  how long until completion?

Interior  speakers will be phase 2.  I'm running all Boston Pro Series components right now but will change them to a true high/mid/midbass setup with good sound staging.  Still planning it in my head.  Phase 1 will be done in a couple weeks but then we have the hydro dip parts to get to you OG.  Hoping to get Phase 2 done by Wekfest.

I know I will probably get bashed on about this, but I always wonder what do you guys do with the spare wheel? Like that emergency in case part of driving? I really like and admire the trunk setup a lot, but I just don't know how I would feel driving around without a spare wheel.

That's where friends come into play. Brake sumthing and call your buddys to bring a spare/trolley jack/etc... Works out alot better than any roadside assistance service :biggthumpup:

Hey speedaddict I know you said you radiused your rears but did you tub them as well ? Sorry if I missed it, its just that Im rolling on 20s as well and I hate it I can't drive as low as I would like because I rub the upper wheel well :(

he has a huge bbk so regardless that spare tire well was useless when he upgraded. you cant fit anything that will fit over the brakes in the spare tire well. 

i'm really excited to see this done, i think when its finally finished this car might not be for sale anymore. haha. 

oscar, OG isnt doing any of his audio work on this, just the tails and getting some parts dipped afaik.

you can pie cut and reweld the inner wheel well or you can cut and use new tubs.  The first option is what I did.

tword. i'm definitely a fan. this is pretty much exactly how i would do it, just with different equipment. i love open circuit boards boards and exposed power/signal wiring.
