Wheel fitment

Hey guys, been lurking here for years.

Got a question now finally.

Picked up a set of wheels 20" Lowenhart LD5's off a fellow member on here.  
Specs are
20x9 +38 front 225/35
20x10.5 +28 rear  245/35

Now in the back I have about 1.5" poke, fronts fit nicely with a 10mm spacer and maybe just roll the fender lip.

Now the question is how abouts do I go to rolling and pulling the rears? I've brought it to a few reputable custom bodywork shops in Calgary and they all said they couldn't pull the fender out like you guys are doing.  They told me that I would have to cut the lip off the inside and then pull it and then re-weld a new lip and do some fabrication and then paint over.  One shop told me that I could try the baseball bat/pipe trick at home but they wouldn't do it for me.


Any suggestions?

lower the car. those specs will fit easily with natural camber and a simple roll.

did u try screaming paint works in calgary ? also there a lexus / Toyota meet in calgary august 29th @ chinook 1 pm, u should come out and im sure some one would know a place that would do it.

nicee this is pretty much what i have!

DIY with the Eastwood fender roller. Its soooo easy.

...possibly some smaller tires too. Congrats on the new wheels and good luck. I hate the process of elimination, but it does make it all that much more enjoyable once you get to the other side.

yep...lower the car

looks like the tire is getting some minor rubs and cuts. if you just need minor clearance you can use a 4 inch grinder with fiberglass cutting wheel and a steady hand. Tape off the paint too. that will get like a half inch of clearance and then when it naturally cambers it wont hit anymore.

Yes I did go to screaming paintworks and they told me it would be too hard to roll the fenders on a LS400?

Damm I should of checked the thread this morning,  just noticed today is the 29th lol

Coilovers just came in last night so will be installing them tomorrow

Would you guys say I need a pull at all with that much poke? or should lowering the car camber the wheels in enough?

no pull, just a good roll/shave. to be fair, the ls400 fenders are considered some of the worst to roll. if you diy expect to need some body work. a lot of cats cut because of this.
