Another SoCal Newbie!

Greetings!  Very nice site you have here.  I have found out about your site through a post from [url]www.g20.net[/url] .  I have always been interested in vip style cars since seeing the JP GS430 on an issue of HCI magazine.  Anyway, I have a 99 Infiniti G20 that I have been converting into a Nissan Primera with parts from yahoo japan.  It is more of a tuner car right now. (CF hood, 16'' bronze TE37's, Tein SS coilovers)  My question is, do you think my car has any potential to be converted vip style?  Opinions please.

Your car could have the potential for VIPstyling. Put different rims that push the limits of fitment along with some camber, lower another 1-2" and remove the wing (or put stock back on) and it will be a good start... anyone disagree? I have only been doing VIP for a couple of months.

ahh hello, too answer your question yes it has def potential to be vip style haha its funny im thinking of doing a first gen with a boost upgrade and a vip kit... your car has to lost the spoiler get some other rims of vip influence chamber it out and you should be set...

Thanks.  If I do proceed with the vip style, yes the cf hood and rear spoiler will have to go.  The rear spoiler is actually a rare piece that is from a Nissan Primera Camino TE-V.  Too bad it's not gonna cut it with the vip style theme.  As far as body kits, the Diana kit for the nissan primera is for a P10(G20 91-96) and is not available for the P11.  The only body kit in my opinion that looks good on the P11 (G20 99-02) is an Impul. I have the Impul grille and side skirts (not installed) but not the bumpers yet.

I am hoping that with the resources in this site, I will be able to find some suitable vip style rims in 4 x 114.3.  It's hard to find decent rims in this pattern and afaik, a 5 lug conversion is not possible.  Any links or recommendation for rims is appreciated.

I think any car has potential to look good with some Vip flavour, it's a nice style after all

Thanks. I am having a difficult time finding decent vip style rims in the 4x114.3 pattern.  Not really looking to get a brand new set but a decent used set will do. Any brand specific rims out there that might be a candidate for re-drilling?

Small update. The eurolines have arrived. The rims are staggered and are going on a fwd car. I'm aware it's not a vip car by any means but would like a nice stance/fitment. Now it's time to shop for tires. I am planning to get 215/35/18 on the front & 225/35/18 on the rear. Are these sizes acceptable? What about tire brands, are sumitomo's okay for budget tires? 

good norm nice to you got some works you are one step ahead now tacktle the tires and suspension if thats your next step you should be good. 

Or remember, you can go with 215s all around also...
