HELP!!!! RL1 Build

OK...so my build is a RL1 chassis...A fellow member has a set of Advans wheels for sale that are mint and he just took off his GS300 :dance:. I go to the crib and do a test fit to see what I am workin wit..I like the look but in need of help on what to do wit the sliding door problem.Keep in mind that the van is still @ stock height :signdammit: =) .

My issue is the the wheels are so wide in the back that the doors will not clear without some modifications. I do body and paint so the stretch metal process is no problem . I have heard there is some door extenders for the Odyssey vans but haven't been able to locate any. I have taken some measurements and the front fenders need about a 2" pull and the qtr's need about 3" pull,but then I need for the slide doors to open and close properly.I'm used to building one off rides but this has me alittle dumb founded :shrug: . I want this to be the only Odyssey on the East Coast of its kind. Any advice GOOD OR BAD is welcomed!! Oh and please forgive the crappy pics, BB phone :giggity:

you need to fabricate longer brackets for the doors. or fuck a rear sliding door. :biggthumpup:

have you tested to see where it sits compressed with camber before you start pulling sheet metal? :shrug:

Not using the doors would be not but not an option for me :shrug:. I use the doors often,especially since my 2 boys like to ride in it often...The other reason would be because I like everything to stay functional.
 
To answer the other question,I have not tried to see how its sits compressed with camber as of yet and to be honest hadn't even thought of that :pat:.I'm sure that wouldn't solve my sliding door issue much either. I'm still a noob(per say :shrug:) to the VIP scene and learning everyday. Thanks for the info, that will be added to my list of things to do also.:biggthumpup:

oh i know camber won't solve the sliding door issue, i just figured measure twice cut once. don't want to pull your sheet metal and then have your wheels sunken in. :smiley-rofl:

I say cut Fenders, get some Overfenders and extend the sliding door hinges.  .  

That is what I did with my Egg.  Good luck with what ever you plan to do.

I plan on doin an all metal mods to the fenders and 1/4 panels. Extending the slide dooor hinges is the challenging part right now. I have heard thru the grapevine there is slide door extensions for the Odyssey:metallicblue:, but I haven't been able to locate any or have found anyone who knows anything about it.

get an extra hinge and give it to a fabricator to make you an extended hinge. thats what i did...
