Fixed the link. This is a repost. That event is in Japan. Its the Sessions Platinum VIP car show
Been posted many times but doesnt stop the sickness. Wonder if the scene here will ever reach that point?
probably not to be honest
i feel it will reach that point over here now that vip is the new bandwagon. My user name says so.lol and with stance being the hottest thing around. the rich kids who use to by Evo's and Sti's when fast and the furious was where it's at are probably gonna buy lexus and bmw instead and go with the "stanced vip look" lol i even saw some kids on fb talking about how they need to go lower and "stance out" their cars. haha

We are the ones to make it happen. By building a sick car and getting it out there on the streets, meets and even shows that are not in your area, you will inspire many new people to get into the scene. In one year, my crew went from like 3-4 half decent cars to what it is now. To look at what they are doing, we would be lieing to say we could do that over night or even in 3-4 years as a whole. That show has about 150 cars and almost all of them belong there. The ones that don't, know better than to go to a major show like that. Come correct or don't show.
knowing is half the battle. but unfortunately have you seen the state of american enthusiasts? half of these guys don't even know their heads from their asses, much less why their 22"s aren't VIP. of course there are people here to educate them on what's proper, but something i've noticed of guys here stateside is that a lot of them are stubborn and unwilling to educate themselves. i've seen it plenty of times where simply letting them know that their whip doesn't really fit into the description of VIP (even in the most liberal interpretation of the style) throws someone into a fit. not to be a downer, but i don't see us doing it (shows) this big stateside, but to me that's not what really matters. that would be cool and all, but as long as people are doing it correct, people will know whats up. VSC is a phenomenal resource, and i can def. say i've learned a LOT simply from this site. i think i've said this before, but geography is a huge thing part of it, we got people doing this in HI, CA, WA, TX, NJ, MA, NY, hell even Canada is in on it (:smiley-rofl:). the logistics of things are a lot harder to handle, we're stretched over 5000 miles! Japan is just a couple of islands, the largest just around 1000 miles long, and the rest barely hitting 200-300 miles. it's a lot easier to make that trip, than for the CA to drive to NY or vice versa or even everyone meeting in TX. simply put, i don't have a doubt in my mind that VIP will grow larger stateside, and have the numbers of japan, but i don't think the meets/get togethers/shows will ever reach the proportions in Japan, so it might not 'look' as big, but i don't have a doubt where we could perhaps surpass japan in the next 10 years in terms of cars fully built and killing it. i'm a bit sleep deprived, and it's a bit late, so take what i say with grain of salt.
