SERIOUS help needed

Hi guys,

I am in the middle of converting my side mirrors to the 2010 version.  I bought the set from Germany.  When the boxes arrived last month, one of these rings were missing.  Basically the ring attached to the hinge part of the side mirror that connects to the "ear" side on the car.  It's outer diameter is about 35mm and the inner diameter is about 25mm.  It's made of shiny aluminium and its purpose I think is to be able to make the side mirror turn by step-by-step on the autofold.

I asked Steve (mbenzNL) for help but he's been away for a long time on business and installs and I've been sitting here with 1 mirror can't be installed.  I asked the dealership but they told me to buy the WHOLE inner assembly which is ridiculous because I only need this one ring.

My hope is maybe someone here has an unused or broken 2010 side mirror where the ring can be salvaged and send to me.  I am willing to pay for it as long as it's not for something crazy.

Which 2010 model exactly? I'll check with my dealer.

Are there any numbers in the back of it?

Hey guys, it's the W221 S-class from 2010.  The one with the squarish new side mirrors.  It's just a small 35mm diameter aluminium ring that goes on the elbow of the side mirror right where it folds and connects to the "ear" of the body.

There's no number on it.  The only number I could give would be the part number for the WHOLE side mirror, but that would beat the purpose of asking for help....

They got home depot in indonesia? 

If there is no part number on it, good luck. It may be available seperately, with part number on the bag it comes in.

These rings are the same exact rings that are used inside of the door to hold the door panels in if I'm not mistaken. If they are I can get my hands on a few of them or even maybe one that I have laying around at home.

It looks very similar Kamil to the door rings, but completely different size.  The one in the mirror is MUCH bigger.  35mm is over an inch in diameter.  Look at the thumb holding the ring for reference, the ring is much bigger.

I'll be at home depot tomorrow so I can check for you then. 35 outer 25 inner.
