y33 power steering.

so i jus picked up a y33 today. has approx 163k but still clean and motor/ trans seem to be in good condition. my concern is that theres a p/s leak. but not too sure where it would be. pump looked clean and so does the hoses. i check the p/s fluid after taking it for a drive, and it was really bubbly. what could be causing this? bad rack and pinion?

Sounds to me like ya mying have a hole or somethin lettin fluid out, and air in. Loss of fluid, or drip stains when your parked for a while are obvious signs of fluid leakin. If fluid's leakin, there's gonna be stains somewhere. Look real good. Or try cleanin everythin really well, drive it around for a few days and check again. PS leaks aren't untraceable, should be pretty obvious to spot.
Reason why air seems to also be gettin into the system is cause of the bubbles. Air is bad for hydraulic systems, thats what's causin bubbles. Either someone never bled it properly before ya bought it, or its comin through some pin hole leak, probably the same one that's lettin fluid out, if it is
