baby seat questions

hey guys.  this might be out of the norm but I have a 95 q45 and can't find any baby seat anchors in the back seat.  My wife is PISSED and I'm not sure if I now have to buy some and drill holes or what.  Can someone help?

Your 95 doesn't have anchors, they weren't mandatory till about 2000. However, that shouldn't matter, you just use the seat belt, and the safest spot is in the middle.  All baby seats are made to work with anchors if  your car has them, or the seat belt.

pully hard on the seat belt  to ensure that its as tight as possible you will be fine ...  i never had a baby seat when i was small :pat:

I know, I was never in one either. I used to climb up on the rear deck of my Mom's 1970 Mach1 Mustang, crazy.

Yes, pull really hard, and use your body weight to push down on the seat, then un-buckle it and put that metal clip they all come with on so the belt won't move, re-attach and your golden. My wife's 98 Volvo doesn't have clips, but my son's seat stays nice and tight, but it's a bitch to re-buckle the belt once you get it tight it you have to take it out.

My son is 4 now & he can use the belt positioning booster seats, so I have a Recaro in my M for him. Belt positioning boosters are SO much easier.

The seat belts will work though as stated.

See, my wife is dead set on anchors so a seat belt just wont do. Im sure some of you understand. Lol

That Ebay thing is just for the top tether. There is no such thing as 'legal' aftermarket anchors.
Tell your wife to educate herself and she'll let go of the anchor thing.
Its the babyseat position thats most important = middle.

yeah, I wouldn't feel comfortable at all using bolt in ones. Yes, modern ones are bolted in, but they're bolted in where they were designed to be. My son is our first, both our cars at the time didn't have anchors and hers still doesn't. The belt will work just as good, only advantage to anchors is the ease of use, not safer necessarily.
