y33 -- axle grease all over the place in the rear

guys, 
i was underneath the car today and i noticed axle grease all over the place. the boot is something i should replace, right? do i need new axles? how difficult is this to do?

If there's not a ton of play in the CV joints, you should be okay.  I'd honestly just replace the whole deal just to make sure everything's right as rain.

if you can afford, just change it all out for peace of mind.

any idea how much it'll cost me?

maybe 100 an axle.  is there a lot of grease? cuz if it hasnt been torn long, you'll be ok just changing the boot.  but like alex said, if you got the cash, just replace the assembly.
