So how you guys get a feature???

Not in a mag even though thy be nice =D. I'm far from that my interior is complete stock and no stereo lol but I wouldn't mind something on stancenation, stancesorks, or hellflush. 

I mean I think I can swing one of those on my new setup :). Some people might think there over rated some people might think it's gay. I don't care, I admire eveyone whose spent time and hard work n their rides. I never really cared for the sites but it be a little nice to be recognized :). But in all reality I don't give a fuck. My car I spent alot if time and money getting to where it's at and I didn't give up no matter how many road blocks i hit! I still gotherdun lol. Thanks to mike, jtran studio, overdrive, vsc/cl for all the support and info! I appreciate everyone whose helped me along the way!

And thanks for putting up with my dumbass question and threads over the years. I learned a lot and got schooled!

features whether it's mags or online is all about who you know.

stickers must be cambered. mine are all on straight. =( no features for me.

Most of the cars they feature on blogs are stock + wide wheels + a drop.  Either way, do a proper photo shoot. Post it on here and other forums and someone from the blogs might see it. When kalvinmaui took pics of my car he posted them here on vsc and houston-imports. A day later they were on hellaflush so with this I am assuming they scout the forums looking for cars to post. The mag features, it definately helps to know someone but I think you have a long way to go to land a mag feature.

blogs are dime a dozen these days. print features are where its at.

There's so much politics that goes into features that it's all pretty much fixed. IF you know the right people in the right places what ever you want will get printed. I've seen the best of the best and the wackest of the wack get featured in mags

Jus build the car for your own enjoyment my doode and if somebody happens to take notice and wants to give you shine then there you go. I wouldn't make it a goal to get featured though......at least that's my pennies

i thought if you slapped your car on stancenation's facebook page and it looked hot enough he just posted it on his blog. same thing with canibeat. and the other blogs. imo, internet fame is easy if your car is posted on enough forums. one of the photogs is bound to browse a forum you're on and bam internet celibrity over night...
 
plus nowadays print features are nicer to have but who walks around with magazines like it's the fricken 80's. if your on a site you're on people's computers and phones = more exposure. i'd say it's 2010 try to get as much blog coverage as possible. I admit print coverage would look sweet if you get it framed and put up on a wall though. kinda like a platinum record for an artist.

I keep a few of the AF homies feature mags in my car from time to time. Don't really carry any of my mag features. Those are jus collecting dust at home :shrug:
Hopefully I can add one of them framed joints to the AF shop collection but I got along way to go for that

Just post it enough, every site has bloggers that just scour sites and post it on their blog.  Rarity now a days that someone goes out and actually gets the feature.  

I'm always willing to feature ANY VSC member on the main site (wait tho, cause I have to release the new one AGAIN) cause we aren't about being the "first" to feature but more to feature our members here.

That would be the ultimate thing for me ... Like the rest of us. 

Its Super nice to be featured but getting out there and putting in the work to meeting people and being online is what I have seen and going to the events. 

The 12-15 internet features are nice , kinda a reason I will have all those on my website. Its just for the car and now a little for me ;) 

Asking on the forums is silly, reminds me of the one movie 

"if you have ask, you cant afford it"  ZJ Beerfest LOL

It's really who you know and just getting it out there to shows and meets.  And some blogs will put it out there on FB like a casting call when looking for cars to feature.  Getting a feature in a mag is all politics and having spent some serious chedda in the car.

The car just has to be really out there meets, shows, rolling the streets, etc or the car just have to be really Unique... 
 
I've gotten a few features... but I never even chased or really wanted them... I'm more of a low key type of dude (people who really know me are surprised I even let it happen :shrug:)

ive noticed there are people who come to local meets or car shows, and sometimes they approach you if they feel the car is worthy of a feature.  *shrugs* good luck

I am more than willing to feature any of our members on VSC's main site now that it is officially up and running.  Please let me know, send me a PM, email or something.
