Greetings from Indiana.......yes, Indiana.

Hello fellow VIPs,

My name is David Barker, I live in the Indianapolis area, and have been "into" tuning cars for quite a while......I'm 38 years old, and up until now was exclusivley a Honda guy. I've been scoping the vip scene for quite a while, about six years ago I bought a 2000 lexus gs300, and other than wheels the car remained pretty much stock. I just did not think the gs would be a good platform for what I wanted to do. I sold the lexus recently, and found an infiniti q45, 1997 vintage. Of course, as we all know......nothing we drive remains stock for very long. I recently finished an engine swap on my 91 crx, swapped in the b16a2 engine, refreshed interior, upgraded suspension, brakes, etc. Body work is all thats left on the honda, and I needed another car I could use as a daily, until the crx is done. I was so happy to find a good condition, BLACK Q 45 that only needs some minor things. The front bumper and bumper reinforcement are damaged, and need replaced. Good excuse for a body kit!! Anyway, I can't wait to get started on this new project, and I hope I can find a lot of good info and help on this site. I like to document everything I do, pics etc, so maybe I could contribute to some of the how-to articles. Ok...Ok, on with the pics.

Welcome to the boards, Glad you got to make an introduction

The scene is awesome, the cars to the people. and we all have started withthe honda scene. in one way, shape,or form ;)

you will get alot of great info on the forums, and alot of 240 drivers are on here too where you can upgrade your suspension parts with other infinity models, and 240 parts.

I am bad for posting and moving on but If I dont get to make it back to the thread.

Welcome and hope to see your car build with the pics too.

(currently at work and No pictures to view)

I came from the Honda scene, wanted something bigger, more powerful, yet mellower, and found the VIP scene 6 years ago. I had a 98 Q45 black/tan, loved it, but it got wrecked this year and now I'm in an M45. I think you'll really dig this scene, it's more mature and being just a lil bit older than you, I think I can relate.

Another one in for looking forward to seeing what you do w/ your Q.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I'll probably always have a honda, the little crx is a ton of fun, its a go-cart with 170hp. The Q is a blast too....but its more like going to a party in a tuxedo, instead of bermuda shorts.

Welcome!
One of my favourite VIP cars. You're fortunate to find one that fit the bill.
