Y33 Knock Sensors.

Time to replace my Knock Sensors on the Q. (1998 Q45 w/ 219k) Any advice or preference on brands/parts dealers?

I've done a search on here and nobody really goes into specifics. Just the usual ''you have to replace'' and the two ways to get it done.

Thanks =]

I gotta change mine too. They're under the intake. Dealer is like $150 each. Also, get the sub harnesses too. I found some cheap ones online, like $30, but don't know how they are. Maybe someone else on here tried them.

I googled two ways on how to do it. The other way is to pull the alternator and a couple hoses. I'm not sure if your allowed to link to another forum but its on NICO.

NICO is your friend for this. Alot of DIY info i think with pix also. If you got small enuf hands you could prob do it without taking off the manifold but if you do you mine as well change out your valve cover gaskets also. Thats what i did! Good luck hope that helps a little.

I used those eBay ones from that same seller and they only lasted 1 month:signdammit: before they went out.
