which coilover is better

hy im new here, i have an white 93 ls400. And i wanna know which coilover will make it really low.

D2 racing coilover 

Megan racing LP series coilover

Ksprot Kontrol pro coilover

d2 and k sport are made in thhe same factory.
 
megan doesn't go all that low imo.

jic are great. but whitels dont get the sf1's most of them are blown and they are not rebuildable. i made the mistake once of getting a set. ride was pretty bad, a set of megans would have been better. lol

Stance is pretty good, I was also told that D2 can take all kinds of abuse too.

not sure on the 1st gen but on my 2LS the megans will drop the front subframe to the floor if i wanted it to.  the rears though dont go that low unless you remove all preload on the spring and give it some room to hang.

JIC gets you lower, yes.  but their customer service and reliability SUCKS big time.  i personally know 2-3 people who switched from JIC to different brands after their FLT series coils had major issues within warranty and JIC was half-assed or completely unwilling to take care of them (NOT external issues!!!)

stance doesnt make coils for the LS :(

I love my Tein Flex sedan on my 2004 LS430! Tein has never let me down. EDFC FTW.

I have BC Racing on my ucf10. I would say they are up there with Stance.

This car is/was on D2 Racing coilovers. They go as low as you want.

oh my just got a d2 street coilovers for my toyota aurion 2009..nyaaah!! still i install it?..just arived last week..

^D2 makes an amazing product. You wont be dissapoint.

it's not all about what goes lower. ride quality and build quality are as, if not more, important. jic is superior in both areas in my experience.
 
i've never had a problem with the coilovers themselves or customer support. i've personally ran multiple sets and had multiple sets serviced for other people without a single problem.

my understanding is jic is starting u.s. production and new products will  be available next year. in the meantime i'm looking for other options of equal or better quality. not much readily available out there.

k-sport was notorious for blowing brand new dampers when they first hit the scene. it seems to be less common now. ride quality is not very good imo,  but there are a lot of variables involved.
 
i'd be careful what you say though. for someone with little experience you sure do push airrunner as the best. just sayin'...

not saying that what i use is the best,  it's just the best i've encountered.

^I have had D2's on both my TSX and on my Miata. Also I have installed them a Mazda 3 and ridden on them in a 2001 Subabru Forester and in an s2k. 
 
In all cases I was very impressed and all of the setups were slammed while retaining a relatively comfortable ride. I haven't ridden in a lexus that was ridingon them though.
 
Also, I have delt directly with the company and they seem to be really legit people.
 
 
That being said, it is all relative, so my testimony about them on the platforms I have delt with, may or may not have any relevance.

i don't know if they've fixed this problem, but k sport has had issues with their pillowball mounts (tophats) going bad in a relatively short amount of time. i've heard of people having their mounts go bad around the 10k mark, and my buddy had a set of k sports on his legacy a couple years ago and the pillowball came apart while he was driving... and a lot of the scion guys say while they'll go super low, the ride quality is terrible and i can attest to this. and not the usual "my car is super dumpt and i have to ride stiff uncomfortable..." but genuinely uncomfortable.

i've heard good things too, but i mean.. come on, what do you expect out of a coilover for under $1k?

I've had the honda-tech setup aka koni yellows and GC's, skunk 2 full coilovers, Tein HA's, function&form type II, Buddyclub N+, BC's, and now Megan EZ streets.
 
My favorites so far have been BC's and D2's.

that's a nice resume. i'm looking into bc (for some other guys) but don't  have any experience with them yet. i find the d2 surprising because i was not impressed. of course there are a ton of variables and everybody has different preferences.

I've ridin in this car a few times and for coil overs and being that low the ride was pretty damn amazing too me and I ride on air
Ride was smooth as shit and stiff

BC makes really awesome stuff. Also, the fact that you can customize just about every aspect of the coilover (spring rate, spring length, dampening, and theyhave a few strut length options also). That much cusomization cannot be had for anywhere near the same price from any other manufacturer.

I've got Megan EZ streets on my LS400.  Had 'em now for about 3 weeks.

Rides like stock, just more firm around the turns.....less boat-action.

About to put some 215's on a 9.5 next week.  We'll see how it rides then.

How'd you know I have a 300ZX?  Small world!

Fronts will lay frame (found that out during the install lol).  Rear has about 1/2" on the lower perch before its bottomed out, then I have to drop preload.

Nah, its black.  Had a set of Work Emotions on it, then Veilside Andrew Racing, and currently its on a set of Varrstoen TE reps.

BTW, for those looking into the Megan EZ streets, the dampening is great.  I've got mine turned 1/2 way up on the front, 1/4 ways in the rear.  Really controls the weight of the car well.
