Re: WHAT WHEEL AND SUSPENSION FOR VIP?
For suspension, different people run different stuff, but MAKE SURE,
if you plan to roll your car at least with a 3-4" drop, u will want to get
coilovers that have a threaded shock body. that way you can lower
you car a good 2-3" without losing ANY travel.
travel is the key to a good ride. granted, the stiffness of the coilover's
design is crucial, no travel is the same as just lowering your car on spring
and stock shocks. the length isn't shortened, so when u hit bumps.
you bottom your shocks out which can ultimnately lead to bending your
wheels..
for wheels, WEDS KRANZE, WORK, SuperStar, Trafficstar, SS-R, Rays,
etc.. theres a lot.. some wheels that aren't "vip" would be
axis, luff, sportmax, etc, those are cheaper knockoff companies
which really don't look good or fall under a nice wheel company.
hope this helps

Re: WHAT WHEEL AND SUSPENSION FOR VIP?
just letting you know.. VIP is style taken from japan, and its more said as the word "Bippu" or Vip. not V.I.P. It is a style, and there are no products that are VIP products. So...there are no rims or suspension that will make you automatically VIP, or anything of the sort. It's all about the style, and how you rock it. that said, if you want to get your car low, and keep it low, and still ride 'quality' spend the money on a airbagged suspension, since with that new camry I don't think you will find a good coilover system out right now (correct me if i am wrong on that one). also with that you have adjustment on the fly, if you need to lift it up, do it, if you need to stiffen/soften your bags, do it, all at the touch of some buttons/switches. spend the money now, save from the time and money and headaches later.
Wheels on the other hand, you could get a decent set for about $1500USD used, just gotta know the rough offset/size that you want to run. Good deals will pop up time to time, just be patient, and find the ones you REALLY want! Have fun, you got the potential, and hopefully you gain the knowledge here.
