Thanksgiving Day plans? v.2010

What are your plans for Thanksgiving Day this year?  gathering at your place?  What are you all cooking?  yearly family arguments?  looking forward to any football games?  joining a gym the day after? :shrug:

I'll be working my 12 hr shift but I'll be off the following day and the weekend!

All of the "adults" in the fam are back in the PI now...us "kids" are throwing a cowboys &  indians party. 
 
Last Xmas I threw a sexy Santa party  @ my house :smiley-rofl:

erh scratch that. no church this year apparently, but we're eating at 2 or 3 i think.

typical viet thanksgiving,... turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, green beans, fried rice, egg rolls, goi, banh bot loc, pumpkin pie, and che. :smiley-rofl:

Last year's thanksgiving was a disaster. Half the family drove down to San Diego only to get stuck in 5 hour traffic. So i said fuck that and went back, Sister ended up not working and threw something together and ended up having Thanksgiving my brother & sister + her husband and his brothers and sisters., while my parents were out in SD.

This year, hopefully it goes smoother. Usually it's 9am mass, lunch, i watch football and root for the cowboys to win and then dinner at 5, then food coma and knock out.

5 hour traffic? that sucks man. i hate not being around family for the holidays if i can help it.

Okay i think i exaggerated, it was like 3 hours. We pulled onto the freeway and already there was mad traffic jam. And i had family members who left like 2 hours before us but were stuck in traffic not even 1/4 of the way there. Its pretty bad traveling on the day of thanks giving.

our church just bought a new building, it's called hoi thanh loi chua, protestant church, we're like 5 minutes from la vang.

Yeah, I made a comment about pf chang/pei wei > Mai and a few people got butt hurt.

I really don't like Mai's food and pf chang & pei wei is worse but Mai's isn't great at all.  Its vietnamese food made for the "white man" :biggthumpup:

mai's blows. and their service is THE worst i have ever experienced in houston. and that's really saying a lot.

im not AZN, and i believe that mai's is the worst viet food ive ever had, srsly. thumbsdown. 

as for tomorrow its gonna be football with family and friends then eating with the same ppl. if anything later on im gonna have to make my rounds to a few friends houses to do the thanksgiving thing with them too

Which bbq place sells turkey?  They sell it whole or sliced like brisket to sell as a meal?
