So I started this E31 BMW build....

So Im building sum custom carbon parts @ the Lab.....
 
 I just so happen to get a new set of rims to [I]do tha daily[/I] with on my 8 series.
 
 Im swapping the tires out....to FALKEN of course:biggthumpup: put the rim back on and started to thread the lug bolts to go for a test drive.
 
But Before I had a chance to use the impact gun, I went back to check on the autoclave. 
 
uh, I forgot to torque down the bolts and drove the car :pat:
 
yup, the wheel came off and totally messed up the car
 
Needed a ton of new parts :sad:

BMW is quick to remind you (via parts pricing) that this was once their most expensive car. So I didnt just jum into it with all the other things I have goin on.

BAD ride, I remember seeing a documentery on Easy-E and he was rolling an 8, lol. Love the sleek design and pop up headlights on those things. Still a head turner today. And yes, they did cost a grip.

I remember reading an article online not too long ago. It talked about Eazy having the side window shot out shortly after he got it.  LoL!!

I ended up gettin all the parts and replacing whatever needed to be replaced on the suspension. Prolly couldve bought another car but I love this one.

I have to wait a week or two to finish up the suspension. I ordered suspension parts from E36 and E46 BMWs (2 year ranges) to see what Parts I can use. Sadly, I dont know anyone with those models to compare. 
 
Theres parts that need replacing or rebuilt in the interior. Someone stole a deck (tried to steal the whole thing) and ruined the surround a while back. I'm finishing up a custom piece to go along with a few other "things" im changing.

Pulled the rear deck to repair and do a bit of custom work to address the battery draining issue. I use a Ctek 7000 on all my batteries but what about when the car is just out n about or when the other cars are being charged???!?!?

yup, Putting in a solar panel to help compensate for the e31 battery drain. not the final look but u can see where im goin with this.....

 yeah, prolly added 10lbs to the shipping costs....suckah was huuuge!

nothing...its tucked away in the back of the garage...and I barely go back there anymore. :p 

A while back I took out the air stuff and used it on another car of mine. Havent really re-visited the e31 inna while :(
