new guy from Orlando, FL!

sup guys! 

I live in Orlando, FL right now where I go to school. I moved out here about 3 years ago from Tampa, FL, where I was raised.

I've always been a big fan of VIP styling, and I'm eager to get into it! I just got out of my last car, '93 Nissan 240sx hatch, SR20DET powered. I wanted to "mature" in my car modification styling as well as get something that would be a LOT more reliable to drive everyday, especially being an Engineering student in college.

I've gone back and forth deciding what platform I want to use for VIP, and I've chosen the Lexus GS300. I'll probably be buying the car within the next couple of weeks. I'm just really picky with what I want which is: 2003-2005, white or silver paint, black leather interior, under 100k miles or low 100k miles, possibly heated seats, good service records, and less than 2 previous owners.

I'm excited to learn more about VIP and look forward to getting into the culture and lifestyle :)

welcome to the site NOWELL.  Finding a white GS with black interior is going to be tough, but they are definitely out there.

thanks! and yeah, I was looking some up on autotrader last night and found ONE in the entire country and it's actually over by you in San Antonio, TX! along with another white GS but it's the sport package with that orange brick interior. I'll hopefully be running the errands to get my loan within the next week or 2 and then I can start talking numbers with people :biggthumpup:
 
by the way, do you happen to know off hand any common problems on the GS that I should look for when car shopping, or should I just post a thread in the lexus section?

Ahhh, so you know the S-chassis struggle!! hahaha!
 
The car scene is awesome down here in FL, especially in Orlando. There's ALWAYS something going on in either Tampa or Orlando for events, meets, etc. The only thing I'm not too sure of is the VIP scene. Although, I was talking to my neighbor yesterday outside and someone drove down the street in my neighborhood with a silver metallic GS300 slammed on 19's or 20's all VIP with Junction Produce decals and everything else, looking mad clean and I just :eek2: It pretty much had the mods of exactly what I want to do to my car when I get it

HA struggle yup.. thats good hear but disspointed to hear no big vip scean, im looking to go to fl once done with school open a business up, but no vip :sad:

Hey, Noel, are you going to UCF?

Welcome to VSC,I lived in Orlando for some time and the car scene is always Epic there..Good luck on ur find and keep us posted!!

whats with all the tollways in orlando? i paid like 10 bucks just to get around town.

yeah, it's terrible! I probably spend about $15 in tolls a week just to go to class/work; I really hope something changes with that soon -__-

Yes it is! AND I actually DO have an update....

UPDATE ON THE NEW CAR:
 
soooooo I couldn't end up getting a cosigner for the loan, so I had to make an immediate decision to pick up ANOTHER Nissan 240sx lol. I hate to do it, but it was the only choice I really had, and I know everything that's been done to it along with all of the paperwork so I know that it can be fairly reliable. Plus, the previous owner is my next door neighbor lol.
 
So unfortunately, I won't be able to make the switch of lifestyles just yet :sad:. I hope to get the opportunity to get into the VIP scene as I originally intended to, someday...
 
I'll still be lurking the forums and checking out everyones work and chiming in. This site is unique in the VIP scene and very informative. I learned so much JUST reading a couple of sticky threads!
