k sport vs uas on teins

So i was pondering on what would be a better set up as far as ride comfort and reliability? because i want to ride low and park lower. i have a 98 ls400. what your opinions on it?

Ksport air ride system

vs

Universal air with tien CS coilovers.

I'm not sure, but I do believe that the body of the Teins are too large for the UAS bag. I could be wrong, though.

i'm assuming you have tein comfort sports? if so, they're single tap and he's worried about bottoming out the strut with low pressure, since you really can't really adjust for preload like you would on a double tap coil.

with bags you lose the same amount of travel when dumped regardless of whether they are single or double tap. the only benefit is the possibility of going lower. i would just try them over the cs, since you already have them, an see if it goes low enough for you.

Well, generally speaking, I think most people would say that Japan (Tein) will always ride better and be more reliable than Taiwan (Ksport). But in my opinion, you wouldn't really know unless you tried both. Because measuring 'comfort' is relative to the driver, and reliability is not very easy to measure either.

First I would contact both Tein and UAS and see if they work together. Because if they won't work together, then there is no sense including Tein CS's in your comparison vs Ksport.

If they do work together, then you might want to consider testing those Tein's out and seeing how they ride. No sense asking 'what if', if you have the resources to actually test it out. Dump them to lowest setting and test them out on smooth roads and see how they ride, or if they bottom out, or whatever it is that you're concerned about. If they work good, then use what you already have.

Yeah...I heard that the tein cs is too wide to work with UAS too. I think I read this on the forum somewhere. You can always sell them and recoup some money towards double tap coils.

UAS will work with Tein CS. Someone on this forum is running that set-up.

When I had my xB, I was on Tein SS. The shock housing was to wide for UAS but it will work with the CS.

Yes I do. If youre worried about how low it will go, it goes low enough. Once I get on a computer ill show you some pics of what it sat like on stock wheels. Pretty low and my coils werent all the way down and I would recommend cutting the holes in your strut towers for an extra inch or so of clearance for the control arm to travel. Hit up mike's(blkonblk) write up on how to cut the holes since he pretty much made it the easiest write up instructions youre gonna find. I dont have pics of that since I did the hole cutting after the car was on the current wheels. You could search under my threads and find my build thread, you will see pics of it on stock wheels and two other after market sets of wheels. I was able to ride a lot lower without rubbing when I was on stock wheels and when I had my slimmer leons. The 12 inch wide modulars on now rub alot but im not running a big stretch and its pretty flush at ride height. As far as comfort goes, most important issue to me, no complaints.
