2002 LS430 19" Amistad upgrade, Offset help please?
Heya peoples,
Ive just aquired my 2002 LS430, very clean and neat and needs some VIP attention..
Im looking at ordering some Amistad wheels from Japan, and ive been trying to work out what offsets are "just" safe for a 2002 LS430.
From Admiration i have the following specs, but they say "fender work". I dont mind a slight roll of the guard lip, but dont want to do much more than that.
From Amistad (fender work):
FRONT 19×9.0J+31 (high disk) REAR 19×10.0J+32
From retailer in Japan:
If you do not hope for the processing of the fender.
The following size is a threshold limit value >
AMISTAD KLAUD 2PS REVERSE
Front : 19" 9.0J +37(LOW) 245/35
Rear : 19" 10.0J +44(SLOW) 275/30
Can anyone help with offset specs they are running please? or recommendations on how the above will fit?
Im planning around a 50-60mm drop also.
Thanks in advance,
Pete

Ps, here in Australia ive never herd the term to "shave" a guard. Can someone please explain?

Seriously?
Their sizes with fender work don't look like any fender work to me?

Those sizes are recommended with tires that stick out past the rim. What type of suspension are you planning to run? If you are okay with rolling your fenders and stretching your tires, you should be able to run low 20 offsets in those widths easily. Even that is playing it safe.

Thanks for the prompt reply peoples. Greatly appreciated.

Im currently looking at maybe some Tanabe DF210 (25mm drop) with SS-KIT for the other 30mm. So 55mm total drop for now. Which should just lower it enough with 19's but obviously not slammed. I may have to revise the springs or get some custom made once i have the SS-Kit installed to see where she sits at.
Eventually air sus but thats down the track. Mine isnt a UL so i just cant plug in the Data controller.
Obviously im still looking for almost flush fit with the softness (or a tad firmer ride) than OEM.

Most people on VSC are running a pretty agressive set up...you may want to try clublexus.com for a mild drop to see what it may look like and compare to see what you like.

Yeah i understand the aggressive set ups here, ive kept an eye on VIP for almost ten years now. Unfortunately with the cops here, the road conditions, its all but impossible to go that low until i go to air sus.
Main point is the offsets.
Actually a guy from cublexus sent me here as there was no love there either..

With stretching tires you should be fine on that setup. For reference I am running 20x9.5 and a 235/35/20 with no roll on the front (needs a 20mm spacer for slight poke) and a 20x11 rear with a 255/35/20. The rears are rolled and don't really rub at all, offsets on both are at +32.
The set up they have recommended would only require fender work with the extra wide tires they have suggested.

Thanks, I think ive settled on 19X9 +31 (high disk) and 19X10 + 38 for the rear. I can always throw a spacer on or get another set of rears if needed. Thanks for the help.
