Yet another new member with another newb question!!!

Glad to finally be able to join the scene!:dance: I just recently bought a 99' q45 and already seeking big, big plans, but first things first. I've been shopping around for headlights and was wondering if all 97-01 headlights were the exact same size.:pat:(newb ? i know)Also, if someone can direct me to some sites in which I could find some. Ive been only able to find them on ebay,which is fine, but I like options.

Yea all the headlights are the same size, so you won't have to modify anything to fit them, jus the wiring on some which have HID and what not.
Also ebay is a good place, the better option to find them cheap is places like upgarge and various other japanese auctions.

I just did my 2000 Q45 headlights to a JDM HID headlight.   It was all bolt on EXCEPT the corner lights.   The connector is different from USM and JDM.   I decided to cut the old male connector off the harness and hard wired the new female connector at the pigtail as long as possible.   Turns out the pigtail has alot of slack to play with so hardwiring wasn't such a big deal.

The bulb base is not the same so I couldn't just swap that.    Anyways also to make things easier for you and the rest of the people...  the Red/Green goes with the Red/Black.   Black goes with black and the last wires there can only be one combo left so you figure it out.

Also I bought mine on Ebay...Guy shipped it in a damn fruit boxes taped together... he did bubble wrap the shit out of them but it still wasn't enough because there was a crack on a corner.   Make sure they send it properly beacuse it will get tossed around.

Ni5mo240 - Yea man I really don't see the VIP scene that much at all in sac, but then again I was a ford guy haha. I've seen your car around I think on 99north/south, clean though brotha. 

Blitz - Thanks for the info! I was thinkin about the all clear jdm lights but just the usdm black housing q45t is fine with me.

Pancakes - Sounds good man, I actually just read up on elite autos thread about jp auctions.

I also have some factory HID Clear Cima headlights, in SoCal though, will be up for wekfest next month though

I know you'll have atleast 3 options...  Cima HID ...CIMA regular and then the Grand Touring blacked out headlight (not sure if this is HID or not).   The us model  touring is ok but i think it has the orange reflector still.   You could knock it out but I think you can still see the outline where it used to be..

On ebay put in offers and they'll most likely take it.   My HID headlights was up for $500 or so...and I gave him an offer and got it basiclly under $300 shipped from Hong Kong.
