Hey VSC! Im doin a tune up soon and I wanna know whats a good oil for her? Brand? Type of (w) ? Etc. Thank you for you time
I think all 2JZGE's run 5w 30 if I'm not mistaken. If she's starting to leak around gaskets and your not a mechanic, you can choose to go with a thicker oil like 10w 40 temporarily. I've always used Penzoil synthetic (cheaper), but people love Mobil 1. That's up to you.

Castrol has always been good on my Toyota/Lexus versus Mobil1. However, its more expensive. Get the 5qt jug at Walmart. Just bought a few for $21+tax. If your oil is dirty, grab a bottle of Amsoil Engine & Transmission flush. We recommend this to all our customers. With filter change, your car will need 5.7 qts so get 6 qts.
Thnks on the replies guys! So basicly jus use 10w for now? Til I get a new headgasket and seals? And den go back to 5w after I get them parts And (mdenoga) how will I know if my oil is dirty to flush it? Or jus do it jus incase it is? Thnks again!

^Just what he said lol But please note: Be very careful how you use this with transmission fluid change as I am not taking any responsibility if you're car jerks or stalls. Do your own engine oil changes but if you haven't dealt with transmissions before, take it to a tranny specialist not an oil changers or jiffy lube. Anyways, I've used this stuff before personally on my van before I changed my valve cover gasket. When I removed the valve cover, I showed my tech and he was like why is the inside so clean. Amsoil Engine & Transmission Flush. Google it and check it out.
