first vip build ucf31

Been browsing the forums for awhile and was inspired to take on a VIP build.  Pretty stoked  with my most recent purchase.  The car is a 04' Black cherry pearl with cashmere interior.
Plans are to restore the paint then work on suspension.  Probably going to go with a bag over coilover set-up.  Once suspension is done, ill find some nice fitting wheels.  Gonna keep it pretty simple for the first year just with little things like LED's.

Great car to start with. Love the colours of the interior & exterior.

bought wheels (dont want to ruin what they are untill i have pics)  and bc coilovers today!  stoked to finally get this build rolling

Coilovers came yesterday and started putting them on right away.  Wheels came today and i was able to test fit them a little to see what needs to be done (theyre going to be refinished so wont be on the car for another months)

what your size/offset are your rims?

fronts are 19x9.5 0 offset i believe, rears are 19x11 +3

what kind of fender work do you have planned?

shave and pull, going to buy some arms too cause there is not nearly enough camber in the rear

Small update:  wheels are apart right now, faces are getting powdercoated this week and I will be repolishing the lips myself.  Also waiting on some custom arms so I can make the wheels fit with out needing any paint work.  Might have the wheels on is as little as two weeks

been really busy with work and school so havent finished my wheels as quickly as i would have liked.
right now I cant decide if I want to polish my center caps or have them powder coated as well. thoughts?

its different. you should just try it and see how it goes then powdercoat later if anything.

I've decided to just powder them (done too much polishing for my liking this year)

Any updates on this? I'm interested in seeing the wheels on :)

UPDATE: took me all summer to refinish the wheels because I was quite busy at work.
Last week I finally got the wheels on and fenders pulled to fit. It's not as perfect as I would like but it will do the job for now

stance looks nice maybe a little more camber in the rear and a lil bit lower were it tucks the tire ...what are the specs??

I totally agree!  
camber arms cost a pretty penny for my chassis, and it is at this height because thats what it takes to get up the driveway (lip hits inner fender)

I want to run at least -6 all around eventually
Specs 19x9.5 et3 and 19x11 et3

are you just on coilovers?? have you thought about a youzeland ss kit ive read that's supposed too add some extra camber as well probably a cheaper alternative too camber arms

Good luck on the arms.  I was lucky I got a set of proto arms for the rears of mine.

from what I understand an SS kit would give me more camber only because it allows for more drop in the suspension.. which I cant do at the moment.

I wonder if it would give me more camber if I kept it at the existing height?

how are they working out for you?
I know it pushes the bottom of the wheel out, but does it pull in the top of the wheel as well?

Nope the SS kit wont do that for you.  Nagisa makes a front block that adds 2.5* camber, corrects for caster and lowers the front 30mm

It pushes the bottom out and the top in turn does go in.  But its not a 1 for 1.  I think the top goes in maybe half of what you push out the bottom.  But Im not 100% sure about that.

Just an FYI to help you out. Just found out Megan Racing makes a camber arm for our cars. Price was reasonable too. Not sure if you wanna rock their products but just keeping an eye out.

those camber arms is like the same thing for the f50. push the bottom out but keep the top stock. I hate it! I want the bottom to stay where it is, and camber at the top. It actually pushes the wheel out more if you go for camber at the bottom and have to push it out more to achieve it. I have been in the works with a upper camber arm for the F50. I have lower ones already (not fitted) so i can bring the bottom of the wheel in, and camber it a bit. So this way you can get full adjustment of the wheel inwards and outwards. so you can get it to miss the fender with in a hair of space.

Oh, if you want me to copy those arms.. let me know. I have access to a lot of machining equipment and high qual hiem joints. I just need stocks to go off of

I just ordered the megan racing arms for the rear.  and going to play around with it when they get in.

I'm going to be driving it pretty sparingly over the winter.  Switching to air so I can clear obstacles.  
Eventually I want a full aero kit, but thats a  long way off

Well the cup kit took way longer than what I was initially told.  I they didn't send me enough airline so I only have the rear installed right now.

Gave me  a ton of clearance up top! SO much in fact im going to have to space the wheels out haha.  There was actually so much camber that my wheel was hitting the coilover.  So I shortened my lca and traction rod.

Well I had issue after issue after issue... I ended up having to buy less aggressive wheels just so I could enjoy driving the car again.  It had been 5 months of no driving and I was just getting bored trying to sort stuff out.  Here is how it is sitting right not... it is not quite how I envisioned it looking this year but itll do.
