Too much poke for an egg!
Im not really new I just never post. I just picked up this previa a couple weeks ago super cheap and fixed the headgasket and have decided to keep it. I have had a sh*t-ton of different cars. I really just like to work on them I guess....
I happened across some wheels and decided to see what they would look like on my egg. Decided to take a few pics while they were on there.
As I figured they are too small and poke too far. I deffinatley am going to have to get bigger diameter wheels with less offset. These are Old Centerline Replicas 15x10s and some kind of rediculous offset (5 3/8" lips) 195/50r15 tires. I had almost the same rims on my old Corona before. lol
Don't worry, I am hopefully going to be purchasing coilovers from a another member on this sight in the near future.
So yeah. My Mexi-whip.....
Here are the same wheels in 15x8 and 15x9.5s on my old Corona
And my 240sx Base/truck conversion
My 73 240z w/v8 with my Rustoleum "roll-on paint job" lol!

I went to the Nastalgic Car Festival in Nagano Japan last may and saw an awesome Z. So when I got back hom I just had to have one. And what better to have than one with a built chevy 350! Lol
The previa will come around it will just take some time.

Yes, I sold it to a guy in Alberta, Canada. :( I really miss that one.
And the guy that bought it media blasted it to bare metal and is currently putting an RB30 in it with g-nose and full widebody! I dont know why he spent so much to buy mine when he could have just bought a shell to build his own but whatever. I needed the money.

The paint job on the Z came out great! But I would never do it again. It is all in the prep work. It is waybmore work than putting a legit paint job on a car. I spent 2 weeks of working on the paintjob everyday. If I had to do it all over again I would have just payed to spray it!
There are 8 coats of paint on the Z. Each coat rolled on with a high density 4" foam roller. The paint is bought at home depot in a can for around $15 and is cut 60/40 with mineral spirits.
All the body and prep was done first. Then roll on a coat, let dry overnight, sand with 800. Roll on another coat, let dry over night, sand with 800. Did this 6 more times and each time went to a finer sand paper ending at the final coat then sanded 800,1k,1500, 2000 grits and polished with a high speed buffer.
Here is a pic of the driver's side quarter panel

I tried some really thick urathane universal flares I had and it looked horrible. With out loads of neg camber it wont look good. The wheel diameter overall with these tires is smaller than the stock 205/70/15s that it came with.I drove it through a parking lot on the way home and it almost high centered on a speedbump and the suspension hasnt even been touched yet!
Once I have suspension I will get wheels. I have my eye on some that are of a concave monoblock/disk style. Just kind of want some rims with lips.
