super noob questions for the pros

so just recently i had a bright idea of building my infiniti q45 as a project. and i was reading the How to Tutorial on the s13/14 conversion set up and while going down the list i don't really understand some of the key parts that i need.

what are tophats? and also what does it mean to have double tap adjustable struts as opposed to regular struts?

Also wanted to know about the reviews on a Q running the Megan Racing set up.

you might want to start reading up the very basics of suspension...

esp. if you're asking what a tophat is....

What do you have planned for your build? In some cases you may not even have to worry about any of this unless your planning something really aggressive. Dig into the suspension section to find more tips. Good luck!
