#372269Update on my wagon that everyone forgot about already :P
Hey everyone. I dont post here much at all. I think my friend ray posted my car build here when it was black but since hes out of the vip game i'll do an update. I did a post on hondasociety when i changed my car from black to red heres a link if u wanna check it out. it was a lot of work for just a chrome trim addon but it was something i really wanted to do for a while.http://www.hondasociety.com/board/showthread.php?t=138514
And now for the most recent work done:
So back in 09 I bought a set of used MAE crown jewels that I planned to rebarrel. I did all my measurements and made sure that my specs for the barrels were gonna be exactly what i wanted. The only problem was back then there wasn't too many ppl that were rebarreling 18" faces to a stepped lip 19" barrel. I had a really hard time finding someone that could do it so i just went to a local shop that got the barrels custom made from riverside.
Here's when I was doing measurements for the barrels. the original wheel size was like 18x8.5 +38 18x9.5 +38 or something. Was pretty weak.

Since nobody could make me barrels I kinda gave up for a while and the car just did nothing cuz i hated my sunken meisters and didn't want to do anything lol. So fast forward to when I got the custom barrels finally. The barrels were 19x9.5 +29 19x10" +11. Not exactly what I wanted (I wanted to go more aggressive) but the outer lip of the barrel was maxed out to 4.5" so if i went more crazy it didn't matter.

I guess when riverside puts the rim together they grind the center bore to fit into the face. but since they weren't putting the rims together they left it alone and the face didn't fit so I had to grind my brand new barrels to make it fit :knife:

Also, the used faces were pretty nasty so I had to clean it up and paint it. They were from Memory Fab and they resurfaced the front of the face but the back of it was gross.

So after hours and hours of grinding and fitting and then putting the wheels together, they finally were done.

My friend Ray mounted the tires, and it was off to test fit. 215 front 225 rear.

The front camber had to be adjusted a little cuz there was too much poke. but the rear was perfect. the only problem was there was no way to stop the rim from tucking under the quarter panel when i dumped the car so I had to think of something.
