Can I pull off a VIP Cima(Y33) with a "purple" car?

I recently stumbled on a "purple pearl metallic" '97 Q45. I was wondering for the Nissan VIP crowd, is this an "acceptable" color? I have seen this pic of the Aimgain Y33 floating around... (I know it's not quite the same shade but you get the idea what I might be going after)

Dark colors are accepted but dont get the car based on that, get it if you like it.

I'm not sure what the hell people are thinking lately. But VIP isn't about color.... the car itself is a VIP car... who the fuck cares what color it is as long as you like it!

I don't know about purple (your photoshop is more chameleon-- midnight chameleon :))

Therefore, that midnight chameleon is quite bad ass. If you can do it with a well built car you can definently turn heads!! 

There's purple which can be achieved by mixing black with red pearl (as i did with my Y31 cima), or there is the "i'm a raging homo" color which is a shade off hot-pink... 

The former color has a little more 'class' (although it looks almost maroon), but the latter can also be done if your car is scraping low, cambered to hell and sitting on wheels like that Y33 above.

but yea..this cima is one hot car.. i like the color

i don't see why not bro... vip fashion is all about setting trends... i rocked a House of Kolors "Tahitian Purple Metallic" with lowrider-style micro-fine rainbow flakes when i built my '92 integra back in the dayz... shit i was 16 yrs old man, gimme a brk... here's a pic:

Sorry, now that that's off my chest; to the OP: I think you'll be fine with a metallic purple. It may be flashier than most VIP cars you see, but if you get the stance right, you can pull off a classy car. Especially if it is an OE color. Oh, and a bit of warning. Purple can be a very powerful color. Don't overpower people with your car with a strong kit too. Kit choice will make or break your car. Best of luck to you though.

That looks pretty good in that color but an actual royal deep purple would set it off more.  That color imo looks a little bland.

Deff should have not painted the chrome moldings. but the color is actually cool. I say go with the new CHrysler Metallic Black. That would look real nice.

VIP Style Mag I have has 2 cars in it Flat black. Mind you this is a Japanese Mag too.

Anyway Purple could look good. I guess it depend son the look you want. I like that President,Executive VP look so I love Black VIP cars.

and, if you have to ask if purple is an acceptable color, you might want to re-think modifying VIPstyle.  Don't go through others' approval before you do something.  People only see what pictures you post online.  At the end of the day, it's your car, your money.  You drive it everyday and you see it all the time.

The decision belongs to you, just follow the basic guidelines to what it takes to build a VIPcar.
