A little s13 suspension advice?

So I'm pretty new to the VIP game but after saving for awhile i finally picked up a 2000 white Q45t with 120,000 miles that i love. Ive seen that the s13 suspension is compatible with the Q45, and a friend of mine has Megan coilovers for sale. Are these necessary/compatible? Ive searched the topic but didnt get any direct info.
I know some of you guys run the s13 setup so a little advice on going this route would be appreciated!

yes indeed. keep in mind s14 abs spindles/hubs are difficult to source for a reasonable price (took me like 5 months of looking)

s14 coilovers are physically longer, so you won't be able to slam the car as much. it's easier to bolt on, though, if you want to use s14 spindles to keep ABS

from what i have read the 13/14 are interchangable besides length. 13 being the shorter of the 2. if i'm not mistaken you could use s13 coils w/ s14 hubs... the only parts that need to coordinate are the toe rod end and the spinde.

and bc > megan

from what i remember, you also have to bore out the lower bracket holes on the front coilovers and swap upper mounts from s13 > s14 ones if you decide to run s13 coilovers on the s14 spindle

EDIT typo above -- fronts you need y33 top hats, rears you need s14 top hats, if i'm not mistaken

s13 coilovers will work with the s14 spindles if you just make the hole for the spindle bolts to coilover larger, 9/16 bit if i remember correctly. top hats are the same so no need to switch those

the coils will not be too low. you can control the height with no problem.

i am running s14 coils and still have more space to go even lower.

the megans will work fine, but the the real only major differnece/drawback to using the s13 ones, is that you need to change out both top hats on the front and rear coils, versus just changing out the the fronts on the s14 coils.

this is one of the main reasons i chose the s14 coils instead.

Good point, no use in buying something that I dont really need when it doesnt really doesnt make a difference if I get s13 or s14 coilovers in the first place.
I'm thinking s14 is the way to go

I use to own a S13 so you kinda sucker me in here, bc I know next to nothing about the Y33. Anyways looking that the thread it seems like the answer is before your eyes. You have access to set of S13 coils, someone mention it took a grip to get a hold of S14 hubs. Generally, you will find more parts for the S13 vs the S14 bc of productions numbers. So if you look at the chart more S13 were produced in 89 than the entire S14 run for 4 yrs. Hope that helps

All models (including convertibles):

S13
1989 - 68118
1990 - 60582
1991 - 34534
1992 - 27033
1993 - 21471
1994 - 1391
S14
1995 - 25114
1996 - 7334
1997 - 3655
1998 - 1232
