WALD WHEELS CLEAR COAT COMING OFF
ANY OF YOU GUY KNOW WHAT THE WALD WHEELS ARE COATED IN? CANT BE CLEAR COAT BECAUSE IT DOESNT STICK TO ALUMINUM VERY WELL.
THE STUFF IS COMING OFF OF THE LIPS ON THE WHEELS, GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS HOW TO FIX THIS?
NO1 IN FL WANTS TO DEAL WITH 3 PIECE WHEELS, GUESS IM GONNA HAVE TO DO IT MYSELF

1. Take caps off
2. Walds have a regular clear coat, wheels take a lot of abuse so it's not uncommon for this to happen. My Dutchlets were peeling everywhere when I got them. Get them refinished in a powdercoat clear coat and it will last much longer.

how about stripping the clear coat and just having a polish finish ?

the aluminum needs ptrotection, especially down here in FL. or id be polishing them every weekend

i popped the faces out of my dutchlets and stripped off the clearcoat, i use aluminum polish the lips every other car wash
