I just got the HTC Inspire 4G from AT&T. I got it for 100 bucks with the 2 year plan. Its super fast and all but the battery life kinda sucks :T.

Im sure its no worse then the EVO 4Glol
I got mine for the same price, I had to renew my contract also, but company phone so im not mad :)
its mainly the internet or FB that kills my batt some apps too. I have gps,4g, wifi and bluetooth off, so that helps also. Im thinking abotu goin 2.3 or just wait for honeycomb 3.0.

I have thr HTC Desire Z. Custom rom'd within 4 hours of owning it. Super fast when overclocked. Still getting used to Android. Setcpu (overclocking), callmeter3g (monitoring minutes/data/texts). I really love the slide-out keyboard.

I have the G2, pretty much haven't looked back to the iphone since the G1 came with android.  I don't really root my phone since I don't really see a point for it. Minus the crappy service I been getting from Tmo lately I have no real complaints.

I have a Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and love it.  I feel it has the need of a blackberry with the joy of the iPhone.  Not to mention the 8.1MP camera and huge LCD display.  Just like Schnitz said, the roms you can get for it are amazing too.  I still need to overclock mine :P

I wanna trade it in for the Motorola Atrix when I can

Have a Moto droid X running froyo, love it, came from an iphone 3g and will never look back.

I did decide to hang onto my ipad though cause ive invested so much into the app market, so i get to live with the nonsense of both ios and android.  

if you love old school games and own an android phone you owe it too yourself to get one of the emulators floating around.  theres a SNES one which is free and downloading all the roms is free so you really have no excuse.   I like it on my droid X cause I can sync up a wiimote as a controller and play on my bigscreen via the hdmi out.


my must have apps list

- WORDFEUD: (just like scrabble/words with friends just with different letter values)  add me im Brandicus

- WIDGET LOCKER: allows you to customize your lock screen with custom buttons/backgrounds etc

-BEAUTIFUL WIDGET:  awesome weather/time display widget, tons of different custom options and a perfect thing to use with your lock screen

ADVANCED TASK KILLER:  if your not the type to restart your phone on a regular basis this is handy for halting apps still running in the bg

GOOGLE GOGGLES: a visual take on the popular search engine

EVERNOTE:  super handy app for jotting down quick notes in a variety of formats

GOOGLE SKY MAP:  just download this, its pretty awesome

LOOKOUT:  a mobile security app that scans all new apps and does a weekly sweep for malware/etc..

MY MOVIES PRO:  scan in all  the barcodes and have your movie collection on hand to browse

PANDAHOME:  allows you to cusomize just about every aspect of your phone.  menus/icons/everything...  Im running a custom futurama theme with the hypnotoad live wallpaper.

GOOGLE VOICE:  badass voicemail service, the transcriptions will make you piss yourself

SNESOID/
GAMEBOID: two must haves if you like video games, snesoid is free you can get the paid version for save states (save at any time)  otherwise this can really suck the battery down.

ROM GRIPPER:  Free roms (games)  for your emulators.  even has screenshots to jog your memory

Im sure theres more ill add later, Ill also see if i can get some screenshots of my setup.

Im also pretty happy with the battery life, even with all my custom crap i still get a solid working day out of it before needing a recharge (10-12 hours).

Damm my phone is gonna die now from gettin shit tons of apps lol.

word. phone seems to be sketchy on data and voice. not sure if it's a g2 thing or a t-mobile thing.

I love the speed of the Iphone but the customize ability of the droid wins overall. plus i just wish it was as smooth as the Iphone.

btw in-car bluetooth+ sex soundboard is the sh*t on the strip lol.
 
 
Also something that has been happening to my phone lately.  Its been gettin hot when I use pandora or other apps for a long time is this normal? or is my phone gonna turn into a paper weight soon??

Droid X here.   Never bought anything Apple and never plan on it.

I do have alot of problem with Words with Friends.   I'm thinking it's because it's too new.  There are updates every week.

I had the Task Killer but read it doesn't do much and actually might drain the battery faster.   After deleting it I didn't see much difference in battery life.

I haven't modded to the froyo or whatever it is people do.   I don't want to run into problems with this phone even though some will say they had no problems.

I do use lookout for viruses and such

Camera is ok... for a phone and tiny lense I didn't expect much anyways.

I play alot of Robo Defense.  I got sick of the demo so bought the real deal and play it almost everyday.   $2.99 well spent.

Just downloaded the new Firefox browser and it's far better than the one the phone comes with.

I love that Droid can do flash.

Tethering is faster than I thought.

Nav works very well.

When this battery becomes more used I'm planning on upgrading the battery to an extended version.   I hear great things about it but can't get myself to cough up $50.

Iphone I have no idea which is better because I've had maybe couple minutes total of my life playing with an iphone.   Looking from the outside it looks nice..good materials but why no detachable battery?

as for Robo Defense Im stuck on that game, if I could drive and play it I would lol.
