98-00 LS Front Caliper / Disk Face Question

I'm looking at AME Shallen LX's right now, and I'm going to order them in the next coming months, but what I'm trying to figure out, what is the absolute minimum offset in each disk face to clear the front calipers of the 98-00 LS400 (the big calipers almost identical to Mark IV Supra calipers). I know Work Low disk doesn't clear for 9" until front offset is ~+5 however I'm looking at trying to fit 9.5" super low or low face disk on the front of my LS and am looking at minimum offset required to clear for each face.

Any help is appreciated. I've contacted AME for measurements of the actual face and clearances, so in the very least I'll be able to measure it myself whenever they get back to me.

I wasnt aware disk face is different dependent on offset. From what ive seen for 2/3 piece wheels is the the disk face stays the same and the outiside and inside barrells change, meaing more outside lip and less inside clearance for the same width wheel of course. Unless youre talking about a 1 piece wheel where material is added to the backpad to lower offset like a work cr kai of volk gram light 57s. I believe work/ame do this to wheels like eurolines and LX where the face looks the same on all disk types but amount of lip changes. For instance, the difference in super low disk and low disk is 11mm for 17s and up. So, 9.5 +22 super low and 9.5 +16 low both have about 115mm of lip. So low disk will give you 6mm more clearance. high disk will give you 22mm more clearance for a given size then super low will. Im pretty sure youll need high disk for the front. I tried my o disk works on my ls with a 7mm spacer and was not able to clear, so I had no choice but to go R disk. A wheel like ssr sp1 change spoke design completely to accomdate big brakes for each disk type. Im not sure meisters are the same way.

Anyway, point is i dont think lx will give you more clearance on a lower offset for any given disk type because if you lower offset you get more lip.

See, I wasn't aware if all 3 piece wheels did this or not. I've seen alot of 2 piece welded wheels with padding on the mounting surface that can be shaved down so I figured it could be an option for the manufacturer to shave a bit here or there depending on what sizing they're putting it on... was just double verifying.
