FORMULA D x SLAMMED SOCIETY presents: "SOCIETY" car show

this car show is joined up with the long beach formula D this coming april 9th, 2011. is anyone going or registering their car??? i wanna do this show but idk who im parking with. registration is already open and it starts at $35+. anyone wanna show with me?

That's my city!!! I registered for this show last year and had a real good time. Down town Long Beach, formula d, and breezies along the coast. I really don't know what would be better than that. I might register... just worried about my wheels coming in on time or not.

I have my nobori flag. If I'm rolling in as a passenger with someone I'll bring mines, but I dont have the pole. Might have to go make one.

I'm thinking of attending the event, but it says cars are left overnight? where are they parked? any security? wondering how it works especially if there's a liability release we have to sign

It will be parked outside in the staging area of the show. There are securities, staffs, and bright spotlights. Yes there will be a liability release form to sign also. 

Don't interrogate me on this info I know. It's because I went to this show last year. I also heard that some people roll in the crackhead early morning on Saturday (day of the show). So the choice is on you.... I live like 10 minutes from downtown so it doesn't matter to me when I left the car overnight.

Yes there will be over night security if cars are parked over night.  We will have round the clock security through out the venue over night.  Just bring a car cover and keep your stuff closed or kept in the car so nobody messes with it.  Also keep in mind Long Beach is one a pain to load in cars into the venue since its the load-in entrance is part of the track.  So if you miss the deadline on load-in your shit out of luck.

Exactly 1 week after this event last year on my way to watch ALMS race, my Q was killed by a knucklehead in a Toyota Tundra.

I'm thinking about going this year, not sure if my M is up to par yet though.

6:00am - 8:00am CAR SHOW: Roll-in setup
8:00am - 3:00pm WILL CALL Hours
8:30am - 9:00am MANDATORY: MEDIA meeting for all “Hot Area” access credentials Holders
9:00am - 10:30am OPEN PRACTICE: Top 32
10:00am - 6:00pm GATES OPEN: PUBLIC
10:45am - 11:00am MANDATORY: Drivers Meeting
11:30am - 1:00pm MAIN COMPETITION: Round of 32
1:00pm - 2:00pm “Half Time” Break
2:00pm -2:30pm National Anthem / Opening Ceremonies
2:30pm - MAIN COMPETITION: Round of 16 to Finals
4:30pm - 5:00pm Trophy Ceremony & Closing

Hope this help for you guys, if you were plan on rolling on friday.  For everyone rolling on Saturday this is our current schedule we are working with.  I'll keep you guys updated once we finalize the schedule, and also we have to get with Fatlace to see if they have any award ceremonies or see if they have anything schedule as well.

You actually do get wristbands (2), but the wristbands are equivalent to a standard General Admission Ticket.  The only grandstands you can actually sit on is GrandStand 24, which is the Grandstand by the hair pin turn.

If our scheduled roll in time is Friday night would it be a problem if we rolled
in super early on Saturday instead?
It's just so much more of a pain in general to do it Friday night.
