Lincoln LS "Babysride"

My 2000 Lincoln LS8. Originally purchase for the wife to transport our first daughter. We bought a Durango about a year later. The wife wanted the Durango. I took the LS. How it looked stock.

I drove it for about a year. Decided I wanted to do something with it. Something different then all the other LS owners had done. The Razzi kit was a good start. Of course, I dropped it 1.75" with Eibach Springs.

I picked up a set of "rare" chrome 19" Konig Prophets. Manage to land Dunlop as a sponsor and received a set of 245/35/19 Dizerra tires for free. I upgraded the brakes to drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads.

I changed up the appearance a bit. Frontend, I added a McLaren grille with red Lincoln star, angel-eye headlights with clear corner and side markers. Rearend, got a BMW M5 lip spoiler. I gad a custom painted pinstripe ran the length of the LS with a custom three color graphic added to the stripe.

I wasn't really sure what direction I was wanting to go. But the "VIP" look and style is what I am really going for. I know it is a domestic. But thats is what makes it a challenge and so unique at the sametime.
 
Currently, I am having new headlight bezels painted to match the LS with new LED angel-eyes added. I also have a new rear surround in paint. I plan to have the chrome bumper trim painted to match as well.
 
The interior is something I am just now getting too. I upgraded the 2000 center console to the newer '03-'06 second gen center console. Plan to have the seats redone with some custom stitching and two-tone leather. The rear armrest is getting a woodgrain platform added to it. I have seen many of you have some custom stitched pillows in the back. I think that is a killer addition to really add to the look/atmosphere of luxury.
 
Long term plans. Include, suiciding the rear doors and relocating the handles. I don't want to shave them. I want it to look factory. Along the lines of the '64-'66 Lincoln Continental. Custom paint.
 
Its not quite "VIP" style yet. But its a work in progress.

all i can say is stick around, do lots of reading, get crafty real quick since you will be doing mostly one off work, and get your wallet out.

i agree with OG that its gonna be expensive for the one off work but in the end i think if executed proper it will be sick and a head turner

I definitely plan to take several VIP styling ideas and make them my own. I have done a lot of reading in just the few days I have been a member. I am glad I found the site. Plan to be an active member.

yes! stick around and im sure this car can be a real VIP style car... car has alot of potential bro.. only thing id change would be the wheels... have something a bit more aggresive

Always wanted to see one of these done up, I don't love the kit, but to be honest I don't know what your options are... also, I agree with GM0, a different wheel will make this stand out more..

iirc this car has some ridiculous pcd like 5x100 or 5x108, so its pretty hard to find wheels without ordering new or redrilling.

Adapters or redrilling is very common in Japan and not that hard......whatever it takes.....

Thought I would update you guys on the progress of my 2000 Lincoln LS.
 
I bought and installed a Magnaflow full catback system. I found a nice set of Mercedes Benz E430 AMG exhaust tips. Also painted the rear surround, front & rear bumper chroms, and headlight bezels. Debadged the rear taillights. Re-installed my McLaren grille. 
 
Only chrome left is the wheels. Trying to find a deal on a set of Jaguar 19" Sentas.

Jaguar Sentas... good thinking looking to Jaguar for your wheel options. Are you considering a more aggressive stance with the new wheels?

I am as low as I can go without going to air-ride. So air-ride looks to be a future mod.

paint your brakes black, no need to draw attention to OEMs.

I think either Waffes or the conquistador Partidas would really set it off as far as wheels go. I've seen alot of the latter ones on Jags and they look perfect. Would need bigger brakes though.

As for the front, if there was a way to straighten the bumper around the grill without messing up the mounting points and have the bumper a little less 'busy' the front end would look more legit to the style.
 
Like I said before, I can see where you're going and I like it so far. Just a little tidbit here and there that I would change up. I'm sure with more funds and time you could kill it with the LS.

Not OEM. Drilled'slotted rotors with ceramic pads. The calipers are still OEM thou.

A little inspiration.  Used to have an LSE, one of the members chopped some JP Scaras on it for me, not the greatest chop ever but shows you potential.
