Powdercoating Work Euroline DH's
I have a set of Work DH's in Chrome. I wanted to change things this year and powdercoat the faces metallic silver. I also want to strip the chrome from the lips and simply polish them myself. Here's my question...what's your solution on the lug cap covers? Do you simply leave them the original polished/chrome look, or do you mask off each and every faux bolt and center logo? I'm about to take everything apart and complete this project in April. I'm sure some of you guys have run into this avenue before with the same or similar designed wheels.

just have a shop refinish the centers, the shop that did mine said the centers are a bitch.

you can break most centercaps down to pieces, just takes some technique.
little warning, polishing is tedious and takes skill to get right. it is also much harder to maintain than chrome.

Got it. The chrome lips have a chemical stain from the previous owner. I've tried multiple cleaners, waxes, polishes, etc and nothing gets rid of this defect. It really bugs me to see these wheels in bad condition. The chrome faces are a 9.5 out of 10, but I'd like to change them to metallic silver as it's a personal preference.

The center caps on Eurolines are easy to take apart. Event the fake bolts are real bolts that are just cut, you can unscrew them and the center plastic is only held on w/ double stick, so it's easy to press out, just be careful not to crack it.

you could have the faces cut off the barrel.

I decided to leave these alone and roll another year as is. I might wrap the DH face with matte black vinyl if I get bored. I'll post pics if I attempt that route.

im getting my type-ns powdercoated as well, they sanded it down n polished the bolts, if your car is metal of some sort it can be painted as well no problem.

As promised, here's a pic of my car since I decided to move forward with converting my Works to black. I also converted the body with a 97+ kit, yellow fogs/HID's, JDM side markers, exhaust, and a few other things over the past year. I'm also in the process of buying a Big Win/Fujin replica lip to make the front more aggressive. My car isn't really VIP nor am I anywhere near as low as you guys would like, but it's comfortable for daily driving.
