New guy here, my name is Dave im from Hawaii
Im just getting into the world of VIP. Ill be picking up a BMW 740 in a couple of weeks. Ive been lurking around the last week. So any more info would be great. Been getting sh!t about BMW is euro and not Jap so it doesnt fall under VIP no mater what I do to the car. But what can I saw I just love the way the 740 looks slammed w/ stocker 745 or rims.

what year 740? or did they only make 740 a certain year.... anyway, welcome to vsc. 7 series are still gangsta imo. :biggthumpup:

Looks like ill be grabing the 740 by monday, its either its the 95 or 01 same body style with same mileage. Will post pic of stock to rim swap and drop coilovers Im looking at KV.

I suggest not getting a '95, the 4.0L's had issues.  When I was looking at E38's a few months ago, I found a nice '95.  Everyone on Bimmerforums told me to stay away from the '95s because of the motor issues. They fixed the issues when they produced the 4.4's in the later years. That's why I kept looking and found my '98.

"The 1995 E38 used an aluminium block with Nikasil plated cylinder bores - nickel containing silicon carbide particles. Unfortunately, excessive sulphur from fuel reacts adversely with the nickel, causing very slight blemishes in the top few millimeters of the cylinder bore"
