just buy what you like, and don't worry about fitting into a certain mold like vip style

Take the radiator cap off the IS and park a vipcar under it. Then buy what ever wheels you feel like.
In all seriousness, when I read the thread title, I knew it wasn't going to be a big body car. Don't sweat labels, just build an awesome car for yourself.

quoted for the truth.
but here's a tip -- most people aren't going to label your car as "vip-styled" if you rock vossens or rotiforms. just a thought

+1 not feeling any of those wheels, but if you're set on those 3 wheels, I'd go with the varianza t1s

Out of the three, the Varianzas are best looking on the IS, but they have been a crap ton of times. Do you though man, don't ask what other people think YOUR car should look like.

Do vip inspired wheels exist? [I do not like the term “vip inspired” but I’ll go with it]
Yes, there are many manufacturers that cater to vip like Aimgain and Fabulous, they have there own line of wheels. But in general wheel designs are universal. Although there may be wheel manufacturers that have model lines that are seen often on vip cars – this is purely association but not a marriage.
Obviously you are looking to label your car. I think that is great. Although wheels play a huge part in this style there are other essentials. At the end of the day it is a question of how well executed the car itself is, not just the wheels. I say go with what you like – make whichever you choose work.
Personally, I wouldn’t get too caught up in classification - build what you want. If it fits in this style, that’s great and if it doesn’t fit, I would not worry about it. Just don’t claim it to be something its not, until it’s proper. All that matters is that you appreciate what you have created.

As far as fitment, I ran 19x9 +22 with 225-35-19 and 19x10 +22 with 235-35-19 with rolled and pulled fenders on a 2IS.

Thanks actolex that is some good info how much did you pull rolling is getting done in a week b4 I order whatever rims I decide on so I can test fit some friends wheels. Was thinking 28 with some mild camber and just rolled.. any opinion? Could I fit 22 with only camber /rolling would like to avoid pulling unless necessary but if I have to just gotta grow some more pocket for any following necesssary mods.

There is no such thing as a "vip" part. vip style is a title you can be given based off of the total execution of the build. Too be honest, since it is not a big body car, you would have to go extra hard to earn the title. Just build it how you want to. no one will knock it if its "vip" or not. This is a great site to get inspiration from.

i think you could go extra hard with a vienna series wheel from SSR, and with the right kit or lips

im not 100% sure what it is exactly you are asking for either! if its a choice between what i think are the best looking wheels for a 2IS from the above selection than i would pick the Vossens! if your are looking for suggestions to help you individualize your 2IS and shape it into a certain genre of modyfing then i would suggest looking for wheels that havent been used on a 2IS! there are plenty of wheels that have not been used on the small amount of VIP inspired 2IS's i have seen. i think you need to decide what YOU want to do with it! after all if you REALLY want a true VIP build you will need to trade in the IS for a larger platform! w/e you decide to do goodluck with it!!!! =)

its not even a VIP style car...its a sport style car. like what has been said, get what wheels you like and don't worry about being "vip inspired" as most people won't label you that way anyway. hell, rock some Volks or SSRs
