3rd Annual LIBERTY VIP BBQ May 29th 2011

damn first post and already theres a killer line up, I wish I was on the east coast for this meet, chug a joose for me haha.

i may be able to go to this one since it's on a Sunday...i can always come down on a Sat night and crash somewhere then ride out with u guys....i guess we'll see..

Damn...I'll be in the city that weekend, but at the NY show with the Harrier.

So will there be any after party adventures? Last years bar hoping was fun. Maybe we can plan something out so we all can be dressed appropriately.

Nope. I've been a loyal Joose drinker since 2004 lol. BTW im going to be cruising up with Martin. See if your friend Jake will have his car ready for this.

This is going to be the first show or meet on the east for this year that will have a large vip following.  Almost all our heavy hitters will be there.  Please add your name to the list if you plan on coming so we can have a better idea of how much food to get.  Thanks

I think the amount of spectators we will have this year will be 2-3x previous years.  Hopefully we get as many cars as last year (if not more)

Dont sleep on this, you wont see more than 4-5 vip cars at any given show or meet out here other than the BBQ and Black 2.  Def come out if you are into this scene

Can't wait to see the car out and get some good food with all of you either driving down Saturday night or really early sunday morning do we need any food or other stuff don't think I can bring hamburgers or other food but buns cups and things that can stay in the trunk over night I'll get if we need them

Damm...i wanna go to this so bad..and i'm probably gonna be in NY this Sunday too..just not with my car...how do u guys even manage to drive around to get to this meet with all the pot holes? the roads are so narrow that u can't even dodge them..I'm afraid of bending a rim...and I bottom out on bumpy roads all the time..is there a better way to get there? i contacted Qfour5 so hopefully we can go together..

The roads are what they are, we love the style so we do it.  Just drive slow.  Hope to see you there with or without the car

Its bad to a point where you scrap the undercarriage but you wont bend a rim if you're careful. I managed to make it through with my G50 and im only on coilovers.  Just like agi said "drive slow." And just a tip i picked up from driving around the city is to either hug the left or right side of the lane.

The key is.... Don't dodge potholes... Hit them str8 on!!! No bent wheels (typically)...

Yeah.  If your wheels are wide enough (at least a 9 up front) you can typically go over *most* potholes without bending a wheel.  Its when you catch part of the pothole on an edge, thats when you bend wheels.  

Who cares if the cars behind you honk, they will not stick around to help you if you get a flat, bent wheel.  Just do you and cause traffic in the expense of protecting your car.

I was once looking for Agi on a Hwy Intersection... I couldn't find him and his description was off... How I found him? I saw a one mile backup to ramp and took the adjacent ramp that converges with that one and reversed down the ramp to where he was...  :smiley-rofl:

I was in Time Square..but had other plans...how many people showed up? i heard from a buddy of mine that it was only like half of what showed up last time...does anyone have pix up yet?

It was a decent turnout...maybe not the quanity, but the quality was there.

The thing is, this year lots of the out of town guys called telling me that they are saving their long drive for Black II which is coming in the Fall.  

This year it was mostly locals but most of the cars go 20x harder than they did last year.  It was our best turn out quality wise since all our big dogs are out of the shop at the same time for once.
