WTB: y33 q45 coilovers

im tired of my skyscraper ride height,  i really want to get coilovers by summertime,  im on a college student budget so im not looking to spend 4 grand (at this given point in my life) on suspension.  if anyone has or knows someone who is sellin their coilovers or wud b willing to sell them for a decent cheap price in another month or two, lemme know!

Why are people even asking this question any more? Megan has them IN the USA for under a grand. psMAX is going to be releasing theirs soon and they're a JDM brand with a US operation. So as of now, you have one domestically available for under 1g option with another soon to follow.

last i heard megan has none in stock. and powerby max will be just slightly over a grand.......

Ok, I see. Last I heard, Megan actually had them in stock after being out for a few months lol...  As for PSM, I'm not sure what they'll cost, but even if it's a little over 1k, it's a deal still.

totally agree. MAX coils will be great value at what ever price they come out at.

for the price and ride quality,  ive heard okay stuff about megans,  but dam,  no baller status with those lol  im looking into those MAXs,  just filed my tax return money so im pretty sure a lil over a grand will be do-able ;)

bc racing also has a weld in option (like megan and pbm) with rumors of a complete assembly around the corner. they fall right over $1K new.

i wanna get my hands on some of those MAX's when they come out,  they look badass!  i was just reading the thread about them, and looks like theyre gonna release any time now...

Any options that aren't a weld in? I hate that the hub it built into the strut. Terrible design lol

Max, Megan and BC all appear to be the weld in fronts.

Sure, options you don't have to weld cost you at least 2x the price ($2k plus), but Buddy Club, Insurance, JIC (Japan) all have them that way, expect to wait up to 3 months to get them and you have to send your cores in. IMO, it's a complete waste since the labor to weld them in is minimal, and you have to return the cores, so you lose your "going back to stock" option either way (if that's why you don't want to deal with simple welding).

That's exactly why, I like keeping my OEM shit in case I wanna ride squishy again.

I can weld it myself I'm not worried there. Guess I'll try and track down some hubs and shit so I can just swap it in and keep my OEM.

RAWR, I really don't wanna drop it on springs. Maybe I'll just bag it lol

Why not just do the s13/14 swap? If you don't want to keep abs you can do it for pretty cheap.

even if you do want abs, it's still not that hard!

I don't want to collect all the parts, don't have time or patience for it.

Besides, S body swap is like 2k+ or so I've heard. I can get Megans for $900 and hack up the front suspension.

i have INSURANCE coilovers on my car , but they are for sale , no welding needed , $1300 shipped !

this is the s conversion parts list i put together for someone else a while ago:
 
s13 coilover w/ s14 front lower mount,  y33 upper mounts
s14 lbj
s14 tie, tension, toe, traction, and ruca arms
s14 5 lug hub
 
you could also just do bc racing "extreme drop" y33 coilovers to go lower, but you'd have to cut and weld. they are rumored to be making a full spindle option but it hasn't been released.

parts shop max y33 coilovers are FINALLY out. The price looks like its at $1250.  i think i just found my new coilovers! :biggthumpup:

^yes, they are weld-in. Dan from PSM just addressed this question in the PSM thread.

I may be selling my S14 conversion parts....just need to locate some FLCA with ball joints and it would be complete with top hats and front 300Z brakes....I'll know in a week or so??
