Wiring Bixenon

The projectors on the ebay W220 are absolute garbage. My intention is to replace them with E55 projectors (same size). The question I have is when you wire the bixenon do I just run what was the power to the high beams instead to the servo that flips the light blocker enabling the bixenon function? Or is it more complicated then that? The spot that is the current high beams is going to be replaced with a frosted back projector that glows as my DRL's, but I want to retain the high beam function.

how do I wire in a relay? this is new to me I don't know anything about electrical at all. do I just buy a relay at the auto parts store and wire it into the power wire?

Thanks! Do I just go to autozone and say "one relay please" or is there a certain kind I need?

EDIT:

Or is this what I need:

thats basically what you would build on your own, but if you're not up on wiring you may want to go ahead and cop it. i'm not even sure that little solenoid uses enough power to require a relay, but you will want a 12v relay of appropriate amperage (40a will be more than enough and are the most common afaik).

lol, that's the exact harness i have in my car for my bixenons. if you call them, you could probably get it for $20 shipped. i bundled a ton of stuff when i bought from them and i ended up get like 30% off their list price.

What'd you get? My hi's and lows are separate on my car, but I need that bixenon function so I can do something with where the hi beams were. I'm trying to figure out what relays and resistors and all that jazz I need since whenever you do anything electrically in the W220 it FREAKS THE FUCK OUT. Its like the car knows its being modded and is resisting.

i'd help you, but i have no hands on experience with merc electrical systems. i've read a bit on all the bypasses and workarounds you have to do in order to get certain kinds of mods to work, but thats about it. sorry

From what i've read since I have the factory HID its not NEARLY as complicated as it would be if I had a S430 w/ the halogens. I'm going to just dive in I guess and see what happens.
