megan racing y33 coilovers

factory suspension removed

where to cut (be careful when cutting, a decent amount of fluid will leak out)

after being cut

after cleaning up the hole and boring it out a bit

(there is a small post, that you can use to center it)
first weld

my buddy doing the weld job

welded and painted
coilover threaded on

mounted

corner view
sorry no pics for the rear. time was running short. we did remove the rear seats and compartment covers in the trunk to get into the rear strut bolts. pain in the @$$. removed the 2 bolts and enlarged the holes about 5mm+ and bore out the hub a few mm so that the z32 lower coilover sleeves will bolt on, after that everything else was straight bolt on.
I do need a little bit of fender work before I go lower but when I do expect a photoshoot coming soon. have any questions feel free to pm me or text me direct 7576397501.

Nice work. What spec on the wheels?
I am still debating on what to do on my 03 M45. So far only have the Espilir springs.

Leon hardirrit beils. 19x9 +27 (F) 19x10 +26 (R). Offset sucks so I put 15mm spacers all around. 215/35/19 front 225/35/19 rear.

Once I get my front fenders rolled I will go lower. I just didnt want to make it look like I was slammed in the rear and my fronts were crap.

Looks good. I was planning on buying some springs to lower my car, but at 500 dollars I might as well spend another 500 do this coilover setup. Should i buy wheels first or do the drop first? I think a drop would still look great on the stock setup until I buy wheels.

Thanks for the y34 love fellas.
808 M45 - I'd get suspension first. I bought wheels first and at 4x4 height, it looked really stupid. Don't waste your time on lowering springs.

Sucks that you have to do that to get solid coils in! Looks good though, pulled it off nicely.

how much lower are you going to be able to go in the front do you think? Do you think the coilover will max out before you get low enough?

Jer - Hard to believe it rides similar to stock, if not better.
Eds13- I have about another 2-3 inches on the coilover sleeve. I could go all the way down but the way the exhaust is designed, piping sits lower than the car. Also I did try to lower the front more but my tires were rubbing on the corners of my front bumper, so that didn't work.
