considering Jeebus's car and the Junction produce LS cars are selling/SOLD for under 15 k and 13 K .. you will have to live with a number like 7 to 10 k .. can you live with that .. those car were all done up too.

Food for thought ..

those cars had more work than this one. i think realistically you could ask for 10k and expect around 7-8k.

I don't understand why? Those wheels are worth 1800, air was 2200, jp stuff comes to 1200 just about kit was 2200 and spoiler 600 that alone is 9k without adding the other stuff and value of the car, I'm just confused why so low

You would probably get more money parting out your car and getting it close to stock and then selling it. Its hard to get back what we put into our cars but good luck to you.

Hopefully we see you and your car one last time at the VIP meets before you sell it.

It's the curse of modding, spend 30k on a 20k car and the resale value after a year or two is under 25k.

If you want a car project that upholds value you should get into restarations

cars are never worth what you put into it.

jeebus's ls has major body work, interior work, a handful of one off mods and has been featured, and its going for 15k. the body work and interior work + the car alone is already worth 15k easily. he also accuair, and a complete accuair system is close to a grand, plus uas and coilovers. i don't know too much about the jp ucf20, but i know everything on that car is legit and had to be worth much more than the 13k it was listed for.

to top it off, no one is really looking for a "turn key" completed car, i think most people would much rather build a car to their own tastes and style, so that fact alone narrows your market. if you want what you put into the car, part it out and sell the car. you'll probably get more than you would if you kept it together.

Yea, I understand the whole deal with depreciation, I just really thought my car would be worth at least 12, since all the parts are not even 3 months old. With 10k spent and 5 k blue book I figured 12k was fair. I'm honestly not looking to sell it, but had an offer of 7k and just felt that was a slap in the face and wanted to get your guys input. I mean even a jp kit is only 1k more than the wald so that shouldn't throw it off that much, I don't know. Not looking to make money, just thought with everything o have done it would be worth a bit more than 7-9k especially when bluebook is 5 ya know?

anouther thing to think about is the vip scean isnt as big as say the drifting scean, look at 240sx's. a bone stock s14 5sp is going for close to 4k with 100-130k miles if im correct. and its tech not even a "sports" car. just every drft nut wants it. if vip was as big maby youd get more. but yea as said never make what u put into cars.

it's like selling a $50m mansion -- the amount of people who can 1. afford it 2. have the same tastes as you with regards to the mods are very small. demand is very low for a car that's been modded already.

true true. i had a hard time trying to sell my previous project as a complete car as is. you're better off selling them as a part out, then sell your car stock again. when i did that i got almost 8000 in parted out money. you just gotta hold out a bit longer if you try to sell the car and parts altogether. GLWS tho

It's a 4 door luxury sedan with parts to make it fancy..not a sports car with parts to make it fancy AND fast. The market is way too small to actually make money off of it. I've put well over 10k into my g50 and would be lucky to get 6k-8k for for the whole car with mods. And that's not even taking into consideration the car itself.

From experience I can tell you that anything you put on your car is not going to bump it's value up by much at all. Like everyone else has already said, putting a lot of money into the car is not going to increase the value of your car. In fact, depending on what you do you may even depreciate the value further than if it were stock. It would be better parting it out and then selling the items (again at a reduced cost simply because they are used parts irrespective of whether they are 1 week old to 1 year old). Sorry man that is just the way these things roll.

Out of curiosity why sell it! looks awesome. But if you do, wait for hype. Take it to a show, or get into a event like Formula D car show booth ect or stanced bs shows and put a sale sign on it. Capture the hype.. Trust me its there.. all weak willed people who go to those things will see their friends or others with stuff like that and want to be it too.

I've spent close to 30k not including the price of the car. Mine is newer and has about 20k less miles. I listed it for 18k and nothing, closest thing I got was one offer for $15k as is but didn't take it since the car was only on the market a couple days I thought I would give it time and make atleast 17 off of it.

A couple months later I listed it for $15k but no wheels and still no serious buyers.

You practically have to give away built cars, look at AF red GS, price was cheap as hell and it sold quick.

I could probably list mine for $10k and it should sell at that point but I rather not sell it for that much.

The real issue isn't if the car is worth it (which is subjective), but the fact that they're so old the people that want them can't get them financed. And the people with the cash, aren't looking for cars like these.

What everyone has said is pretty much true.

It sucks to hear but in terms of modded cars, your car's market value (street or selling price) will rarely ever be anywhere close to what you've invested.

Your car's value is what people or your market demographic are willing to pay for it. If you want to put value on your car based on what parts it has, you are basically and might as well part it out. If you want to sell it as is, either take a huge hit on your "investment" or you'll probably be waiting a long time.

A perfect example is highly modded MKIV Supra's going for 70+k.

That is new. All your stuff is used
It's like buying a new car. As soon as it goes off of the lot, it values drops. Even if the condition doesn't change
