japanese culture

I figured that since everyone on the forums love Japan people should know things or two about Japanese culture. I gotta do an informative speech on parts of Japanese culture. its due this friday, spring break pretty uhh yeah nope.(didnt even start) but all i need is three main points on japanese culture to talk about 5-7min long. If anyone could give me some good/different interesting things about this culture instead of the well known facts like the samurais and the religion. I want to at least interest my audience with information that they might have never known about Japan.Any info or Links and resources, books would help out cuhz i have to make a biblography. Speech class suks.

I think you should hit on the things which make Japanese culture unique.

Respect
Tradition
Dedication

If you look at Japan as a whole, these three things lend themselves to almost EVERYTHING in Japan. Respect is at the forefront though and is extremely important. Traditions run strong in Japan, things that have been done for hundreds to thousands of years are still done today...and also out of respect, which is why I told you respect comes first. They are super dedicated in ANYTHING they do. Rarely will you find someone half stepping. Seriously...
