“ENCORE” An Automotive Charity Shindig by Five Axis and Scion Evolution

ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif. (May 3rd, 2011) – Last year, Five Axis and Scion Evolution hosted an all inclusive car charity meet and greet at the Five Axis facility called Revue. This year they are back with “ENCORE – An Automotive Charity Shindig.” This star-studded event will be held

June 4th, 2011
at Five Axis in Huntington Beach, California
from 3pm to 8pm.

LETS get some VIP Style at the event!

ENCORE is a charity event to raise funds and awareness for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). “This is our 2nd year with JDRF and we truly appreciate all those that supported us with donations last year. Unfortunately diabetes in children and young adults are growing in epidemic proportions, 25.8 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes”, says Nilo J.C. Miranda, co-founder of Scion Evolution. “We will continue to fight the cause again this year and hope to double the contributions we reached last year.”

For the second straight year representatives from AutoFashion, GReddy, HPI Racing, Island Motor Sports, Morel America, MV Designz, OEM Audio Plus, Optomize Scion, Monterey Park Scooter Works, Scosche, and Tjin Edition Roadshow are back to support the foundation, while new partners Clazzio Seat Covers, Daley Visuals, Flux Binding, Gurnade Design Firm, INNO, It’s JDM Yo, Loyal To Your Soil Apparel, Mackin Industries, Racing Solution.com, RAZO/CarMate, Sinister Skate Shop, and Yokohama Tires are putting time aside to raise awareness as well. All the partners will be donating their time, products, and/or services for the opportunity drawing, which a portion of the profits will be donated to JDRF.

It’s JDM Yo’s models, Chaba and Tracy Linh will be in attendance for those memorable photo opportunities, while Daley Visuals demonstrates how to wrap a vehicle using the hottest materials and techniques available today. Yoshi Nurijumi and his teammates from Sinister Skate Shop and Loyal To Your Soil apparel will WOW the crowd showing off their street skating skills. DJ YNOT and guest DJ Curse from the world famous Beat Junkies keeps things hot and grooving on the ones and twos. If you are hungry, sink your teeth into Orange County’s finest gourmet hot dogs from Dogzilla while Huntington Beach’s own Longboards Ice Cream will be keeping their cool with their homemade ice cream.

This is a must attend event, as Five Axis is a closed facility and ENCORE is the only opportunity for spectators and participants to tour the Five Axis facility. Also meet the brains behind Five Axis, Troy Sumitomo, whose team produced many amazing concepts and builds such as the rear-wheel drive concept Scion FR-S, Lexus CT 200h and the original Scion DJ xB.

Five Axis and SE are no strangers as a team. Together they have organized some amazing events, at SE’s 2-year celebration in 2006 the team had the unique opportunity to display all Five Axis Scion models in one common location, the Original DJ xB, the Speedster xA, and the Green Wide body tC. In 2007 the concept Fuse was on display at SE’s 3-year anniversary. Expect ENCORE to not disappoint.

ENCORE is free to walk-in spectators and a requested $10 donation for vehicles participating. This event is open to any year, make or model of vehicle. For up to date information, visit www.scionevolution.org. For vehicle registration, please email encore@scionevolution.org

About JDRF

JDRF is the leader in research leading to a cure for type 1 diabetes in the world. It sets the global agenda for diabetes research, and is the largest charitable funder and advocate of diabetes science worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly, and can be fatal. Until a cure is found, people with type 1 diabetes have to test their blood sugar and give themselves insulin injections multiple times or use a pump – each day, every day of their lives. And even with that intensive care, insulin is not a cure for diabetes, nor does it prevent its eventual and devastating complications, which may include kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, and amputation. Since its founding in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes, JDRF has funded more than $1.4 billion in diabetes research. For more information, contact the Orange County Chapter of JDRF at 949.553.0363 or visit www.jdrfoc.org
