Noob from Japan

So I screwed up and posted in teh 101 section... rookie move.
My attempt to redeem myself w/ the a real intro.

My name is LA. I'm from Chicago IL, but I currently live in Yokohama Japan. I don't have a platform car yet but I'm curretnly shopping for a Y33 Q45 or a UCF10/20 LS400. I could get the japanese versions here for much cheaper (or the new models) but I want a car I can take back to the states with me when I leave. I've been into/loving this style for years. I grew up here and I've always loved the look and the scene. I went to Daikoku Futo a lot when I was younger mainly to drool over these cars. Now that I have chance to build one I plan to dive in. I'm hoping to learn a lot while im here.

Since you guys said pics are a plus here are pics of my last few cars.

Damn dude, you're living the dream. Stance is killer and I love the 2 tone look, you pull it off really well. Is it easy to import a car from the states over there? How would you go about that? Oh and you should put some more pics up lol.

Thanks for the compliments/welcome. I do love it here and I'm truly grateful for the experience. As far as importing a car here, I'm not going to. After I buy the car, pay for shipping it here, then pay to get it on the road, I could have just bought one here. LHD/stateside spec Lexus' and Infinitis can be had over here for about 2-3grand more than in the states (best case scenario- I've also seen stateside UCF10's go for 9 or 10grand :( ). I'm being stubborn right now and don't want to pay the extra amount because I know they're cheaper in the states. But as I said above I can't buy it there and ship it or it'll cost even more. So I'm just gonna try to be patient and find one in my budget. I'm actually also considering buying one and modding it, then stripping it when I leave. We'll see. I'll definately document it here and on my blog.

More pics of the markII and cresta can be seen on my blog http://streetsliders.blogspot.com

Still considering the option of bringing a Q in from the states. It seems I can get a decent one for $5000(ish), shipping will be about $2000(ish maybe less), then $2500(ish) for getting it legalized and registered over here. So thats ABOUT $9500 USD. The cheapest Y33 Q45 I've seen over here was 1 million Yen or about $12,500 USD. So if I can find one in that price range I think I'm gonna go that route... I also may be able to get military to pay for shipping... just weighing all my options. Theres one on here for sale in Chicago right now. If I had all my questions answered/everything lined up I'd pull the trigger.... patience i guess :saiyancrunks:

Here are a few more pics of the MarkII as requested.
