I'd have to raise my car every time I'd want to get out..no workie.  Door goes under car, it's cool if you're stock height though.

oh yes.. i remember this! back when things were high tech way of the future.. yet the future still uses regular doors. So much in fact they gave regular doors to vans as apposed to sliding doors lol

i think the biggest issue would be the fact that in the case of a side impact you are screwed. i could see the technology being an issue after years of use but safety would always be the issue.
