VIPModular, WORK or SSR or redo what I have already?
I am possibly in the market for some new wheels. There are various reasons of course. Some of the reasons that stand out the most for me are:
1. my current wheels require way too much to get them to fit. Multiple spacers in both the rear and the front. total rear is 15mm+ and fronts are I think 12mm+? Not very safe since it's not one spacer per wheel.
2. Even though they are staggered it's pointless cause the lips are the same width :( Go figure. Can't even notice there is any diff from the rear or front wheels.
3. A bit too much chrome on the WORK LS 105's and just a bit too "truck" like for me. Even though they use my car model as the car that fits these wheels.
So since the Work LS 105's are three piece I can get the faces redone. Maybe a Gun metal chrome and leave it at that.
OR
I can get custom wheels to fit the car. Be allot more aggressive with the offsets and prob. a much deeper lip plus really show off the staggered look allot more.
With that said I am thinking custom VIPModulars, Work or SSR's. A more modern design. I won't talk allot about the wheel face design but just the fact I can get a custom wheel I think will be a really great thing for me for the reasons already stated.
Ok here is a pretty recent look for the car. Air set up might change as well to Cup/Coil set up so I can get a bit lower :) Dunno if I want to get a large as 22's just to be more flush.
Oh and by the way I have a WALD executive lip kit still yet to get put on. I would prob. install that first and get an idea of how much space I have left till the car touches the ground or the kit does lol! Then I can calculate the wheels.
This is the WALD Kit I have waiting for me at PG Motoring :) NO I really do not want WALD Wheels.
Anyways I can't jump on this till maybe a week or so and would be open to some sponsorship or partial. But just suggestions are really what I would like. I am sure some of you more experienced VIP/ VIP styled builders will be able to help me put this into perspective. Thanks

Some wheels that i think that would look good on the RX - I think stepped lips look great on this car btw, james.
VIP MODULAR - VR08
SSR - SP3's, Vienna Keiro
WORKS - Gnosis GS-1; GS-2; GS-3, Schwert SC2's
All in stepped lip, of course

SO from you two the obvious thing is to change the wheels and get custom. Well that's two votes to ditch the WORK LS 105's. Hmmm
PS: Not not feeling the Klaud for my RX as the style is just not my thing. I Joey I will look at those wheels and post my feelings. Yeah I am loving the step lip. I will NOT be getting anything but forged wheels I think.
Ok:
VIP MODULAR - VR08 --- Like jizz in my pants! If they are strong enough for a truck. I can tell you double jizz for these in step lip :)
My VIP Modular choices are as follows in face type VR06 (love), VR08 amazing. one of those two for sure.
SSR - SP3's, Vienna Keiro --- looks VERY simular to what I already have. Would be allot cheaper to get the faces redone on the Work LS.
The Vienna LM-9 custom I think would be sweet! I really like mesh wheels like on my old xA. If they could do step lip.
WORKS - Gnosis GS-1; GS-2; GS-3, Schwert SC2's --- not a fan of any of those at all :( I do however like:
Varianza T1S and EQUIP E05 or VS-XX

Yeah actually that they are on custom spacers. Took allot to get them the be flush as they are and not to scrape the bags or shocks . Silver, polished faces?

It's a Lexus RX330. There is no 3 row. That's the highlander. It's on Bags. Glad you like it.

So besides the idea of saving allot of $$ and refinishing the faces on the LS 105's here are a couple of pics of the wheels I like so far :)
Equip EOS5

Nice use of strobe light and the look of a wet car :) Not sure if the car was brightened or not on the right side. looks that way but it's a great image over all.
VIP Modular VR08

Pretty sure fill flash was used here. High contrast background. All that really matters is the car is nice and the wheel is the main hero.
VR06 but nice shiny rims not these non gloss and maybe polished face.

Not bad but a common composition and it's a street parked car. I would love to see this a bit more set up.
NOTE: For the usage of photos I am using the law here. I offer crit for each photo as you can observe. This makes it legal. However I do not know most of the authors so if some one does have issue with me using one of them that actually took the photograph let me know and I will take it down.

I have seen them on a Lexus IS. It's a sports luxury sedan. Makes allot more sense on that car but still even on the IS I think it's not a perfect wheel for that car. Honda S2000 YES! 350Z! YES!!

Yeah but it's not what I think will go with my SUV. SSR SP1 R's only come in 15/16's lol and the SP1's go up to 20" step lip. They are nice. Not for this car. I am prob. going 20-22".
Pretty set on either refinishing the faces a gun metal or polished maybe on the Work LS I have on the car now. Or one of the three wheels I have shown.
I was kind of hoping for some more specific technical comments about fitment as well since some companies might be harder to get to do custom work than others but I guess it's not really important. I need to do all that research on my own.
