Hey guys, any help from those that have the estima tail lights would be great. So i ordered my tail lights last year and i finally found time to install them. I did a search and found EstimaStyleWgnClub DIY which was very helpful.
The step by step for drilling and cutting was pretty straight forward. Now the problem that i have is that there is a large gap between the tail lights and the body of the car. The mounting tab is hitting the body of the car and it won't allow the tail lights to sit flush. I'm worried about rain or water getting in behind the tail lights.
Here are some pics below, if you guys could give me a heads up on what you had to do, it would be great. Thanks

Lets see if I can take mine off and take pics. But since I've been busy lately, I can't make any promises. Something about your install doesn't seem right. You must have a 94-97 Previa model. Allan aka EstimaStyleWgnClub's DIY works great but for newer previa models its a little different.
And note before you place the center chrome trim, please make sure all pieces (lefthand, center, & righthand) match up if not those small plastic tabs will break and you will have to buy a new one. =p

Ok so you don't necessarily have to do this but I highly recommend this so you could access the taillight bulbs (7443) which are kinda pricey per each bulb. If you don't do this, you will have to remove the taillights to change out the bulbs haha. Sorry don't really have a DIY for it.
Note: The taillight bulb connectors will be easier to unlock by cutting this piece of metal out.

Well, some cutting is needed but it will never fit tight since there is not enough tension on that push in fitting so you will always have a tiny gap there which is not noticeable to most people unless they know about Previa.

Its not needed. It will still stick out a bit. The problem is getting the top outer metal corner tabs to hold.
Make sure the taillight is put in bottom first.

this is savage, but if you dont wanna cut it like this, make sure you change all light bulbs before install....
