there are a lot of members in texas and we have had quite a few meets over the years. the next one coming up will be ATB on June 26th

Yes,it is sunday down in Ennis. I will be there in the new Q or roll with my brother in his E39.

I know the may have been done before,but we need to have a Texas meet/get together. Also for the sub areas like houston and dfw,etc sound try to do some weekly or monthly get togethers. Like every wednesday we meet in Garland at Saigon Mall and starting to a nice turnout of VIP whips.

i'd think maybe quarterly would be ideal for a texas meet, but need location

That would deffinatley work to keep things fair and a nice change of scenery for photo ops. Now down to details. what area is up first and when should the first meet be? would be a better way to match names to cars and faces and develop a better respect for one another for those that don't the other since alot are friends already outside of VSC.

i say for distance SA shouldnt have a vote for location lol. i mean, dont matter to me, but at the same time the dallas guys get hoed. we really dont need a 4th location. nothing else is equal distance for the majority.

depends on where in houston and where in dallas. i've also made it from plano (north NORTH dallas) to sugarland (south houston) in 3.5 hours with no stops before.

no need to have a meet in austin, theres nothing cool there. except speedaddict.

i hate dallas. everything outside of the city itself is under construction and everything is fucking far as hell.

Not a bad idea either. I think everybody in the 3 meeting areas should get with each other to decide the particulars. A speed zone meet would be cool but the street leadding to it is/was crap the last time i went. Just an idea

Ok, guys/gals,lets all get together in our areas and come up with something to host for those traveling.

Should we get a website going to try help organize this? I can get it setup if others can help manage it / coordinate / update it, etc. Im at Texas City / Galveston. Still need to install my suspension before I bring my car out. But Im down to drive anywhere once that's done. I know at the very least Im driving out to Mikes shop OG in the Houston area to get alignment when I get my suspension on the car

thats gonna be about an hr drive from you, if you go up there on a wknd or are gonna be there on a wknd. LMK.

Checked into the website idea, I dunno what you guys think about it, we could just use it to show a schedule of times/places for meets, get everyone on the same page. Turns out someone from Indiana bought texasvip.com (not in use, domain squatter) which made the most sense. I dont deal with domain squatters (hope they all burn in hell) so we could go with texasvip.info or texasvip.org or a different name alltogether. Lmk what you guys think, I can donate the domain name and the hosting.

I can also help out with the website if needed, can setup a forum, and divide the 4 different cities up so users in that area can discuss and an area where the next meet comes up so everyone knows whats up.  Would be nice to get it setup for next year.

You guys decide on a name, and we can get this going. Here are some ideas:

But I do not want it to come off as a website only for people in certain clubs / shops. This is only fair IMO since this is for the scene (aka everyone in Texas and beyond)

2. The goal is to have at least 4 big meets planned per year (based on 4 major cities), how successful they are I dont care, at least we tried. Every 3 months sounds good, but will be up to the admins (you)

3. No forums, sorry too much of a security risk on the computer side, I have too much important stuff on my Servers, so displaying of information only, no interactive stuff. At the same time, I think the admins running the site should just make the call on when and where the meets take place so things get planned faster and people have more heads up to get their cars ready or time off or whatever. If we need forums, lets just link to VSC and grow the community here.

And that's it. I hope this doesn't scare anyone away from wanting to be involved. You choose the name, I'll set it up. After that you (the admins) have free reign on what you want it to become, long as you follow the ground rules. Is this legal in tx, i have been in houston for 3 days. (for work) and this is the third high end vehicle i have seen with these "euro" plates. Its on front and back there is no regular plate on this range rover.

i've heard of some cops overlooking it if it's the correct plate number, but don't quote me on that. i don't have any first hand experience either

I went to the Japanese nostalgic meet in down town Houston today. Pretty good turn out. Lots of old school Z's and skylines.

Houston is dead, unless there is a secret underground VIP meets that happen so that the dumbaces won't ruin our meets.
Couple of months and my car will be somewhat ready. Just started modding.

I don't think my wheels will ship in time and still waiting from Japan.  I may just spectate since Sunday is a perfect day. I believe Slammed enough will be in August at Texas Motor Speedway.
